I think the suprise and 'one off' nature of the show is more to do with the production. But I'm sure the set list will be shaken up a bit... Not really sure what people expect.

Judging by the pictures it looks like the stage screens/lights are more advanced than they were on tour...

Just watched the Intro and Chinese Democracy, and now I'm all buzzed up. The animated intro was very nice, it was like the original AFD cover came to life. Superb performance of CD, can't wait to watch more.  : ok:

The rasp is always there - it's up to him whether he wants to use it.

I can't believe people are surprised that he wasn't screaming while he had strep throat. Try it sometime and see how it feels.

The intro defo had some Blood in the Water in it im sure . Do you think they will play this set every night? cos it was the same one they been touring for ages ! i mean it dont bother me i aint going to Vegas im broke cant afford it, but they did say it was gonna be a show like no other .

Last night was one of the best nights of my life.

Amazing show, hot crowd. It was just an awesome experience all round.

Ok, so now that I'm somewhat awake, I can comprehend a bit more. :) GREAT SHOW. 1 down, 11 to go. I don't think the catwalks will be there tomorrow...just a hunch. And, as I already said, I got Axl's whistle! :) Tomorrow I will definitely get more rest before the show. Getting home at 5am makes work a bitch.

What about the VIP Party room and meet n greet? Any updates about them?

Just a hunch. Axl didn't really use them much, only DJ seemed into them. Just heard a rumor is all. I personally didn't like them. I like to move around a lot during shows, and unless you were in the center, they'd block the view of the stage. I'd imagine the people on the second level on the sides were kinda blocked too? I don't know anyone who sat up there, so I don't know for sure. But we'll see.

The band sounds great in these videos.... Jealous! Come back to NYC!!!!

I just got home to Florida from Vegas after seeing last nights GnR show from the front row... Great video Axl sounds amazing.  A few questions:

1) Did security care people where filming with their digital cameras?

2)  How long did you wait to be all the way up front?

3) Did you see any bad members out by the casino area?

What time are sound checks usually done?

I believe it was 4:30-5:30ish... could be wrong but that time seems right.

My facebook page is set to private so I hope this link works... here are all the pics I took from the front row on 10/31/12  I even have pictures of all the display cases with Axl's outfits in them and pictures of the elevators plus I was outside The Joint 7 hours early so I got to hear soundcheck and have my picture taken with most of the band as they came out of soundcheck 1 by 1... enjoy :)

Fun fact 1 * I meet hotel security and talked with them as they wanted pictures with me in my Axl outfit... they asked me this question "Who do you not see anywhere in the hotel that was up on the walls just a month ago?" my reply was I don't know as I had never been to the Hard Rock before.  They security guy said 'Slash' I asked him if that was a request or just something the Hard Rock took upon themselves to do and he said "oh no no that wasn't a request it was a stipulation with them playing here" so no Slash pics, guitars or anything is displayed anywhere in the hotel. 

Fun fact 2 *The Converse Weapon X shoes that Axl wore in the 90's are being sold in a limited edition rerelease at the vintage rock store in the Hard Rock for $180.  They are limited to I believe less than 1000 pairs... I got myself one :)

Fun fact 3 *The same security guard who took his picture with me showed me the stage set up on his ipad after I took a picture with him and pointed to the ceiling of the arena and said this circle is where Axl's piano will come down from when he does November Rain then it will lift off the ground and move out over the crowd.... When I got up by the front of the stage I saw the platform he showed me and saw how it was on a track that moved over the crowd but during show 1 it never happened as Axl's piano was just wheeled out.
