And last but not least, I may have tracked down a red hand Chinese Democracy vinyl!  I haven't received it yet, but the UPC code matches.  Now of course someone could have mistakenly used the wrong UPC code, but really, how?  I could see using the UPC from the red hand cd if you were selling the regular version of the cd, but I don't think that would add up here.  Fingers crossed!

Another interesting thing about this. The seller I bought it from now has another listed with the regular UPC code for the vinyl, thereby lending even more credence to the fact that this could be the real deal I am getting.

Congratulations Troccoli, you probably have the greatest collection of GN'R stuff, except for Axl himself.

Probably, but I'm on the ohter side of the country for a while.  Think in another week I'll call and have 'em forward everything to me in a flat-rate priority box.  Sorry to say we're all gonna need a bit o' patience...

That's garbage.  Good luck with finding that album troccoli.  What is the UPC code that is on it?  What makes it unique from the regular CD vinyl?

I believe its the "Red Hand" alternate cover. If the Vinyl does exist it has to be more rare than the actual CD

I don't think we've seen a Red Hand vinyl so theres no way of knowing if the record itself is different. As far as the UPC goes, I would assume its different. I think Troccoli may know it

To find the UPC codes for all variations go to tower.com.  Yeah, the website still exists even though the stores are all gone.  Type chinese democracy in the search area.  Then go to the second page of search results.

I actually have that bootleg. I bought it at a record store (I think, can't remember) before the real album came out. Its actually really cool

I cannot believe the effort that goes into these bootleg vinyls!  I didn't think it was real initially, but when I saw the actual record I thought there is no way this is a fake.  I emailed the seller to ask about it and he never got back to me. 

yes its a fake, a blue version exist too
