They will be there for Axl's 50's birthday. This is the best place to do it, that's for sure.   : ok: :peace:

I wonder if I can redeem my Albany ticket at one of these NY shows; I think having a true fan there over some bougie hipster starf*cker would be positive for the audience.

I was just saying the same thing on another forum.

I really wish something definite would get announced so that us (the fans) can make plans to attend.

It's from GN'Rs twitter...

The name in the beginning of the sentence just means it's in response to that person.

Personally I hope for an arena show in Spektrum or Telenor Arena, but that's just cos I'm not really into festivals.  :hihi:

Oh boy!  Please please Hammerstein!!

don't understand the obsession with Hammerstein on here.  Yes its a great place for a show, I saw GNR there 3 of the 4 shows, and I went this past Halloween weekend of 2011 to see the Danzig Legacy tour there.  I'd much rather have a show at a place like Roseland or for something more intimate the Bowery Ballroom.  Or if Axl was feeling nostalgic he could hit Webster Hall aka the Ritz from the 1988 MTV show.

Hammerstein is by far the best venue of that kind in NYC, thats why I think people seem to be excited about it.  It is the smallest venue in the city that would still allow Guns to do the type of show they would typically do in an arena. They have a floor and balcony.  Roseland isn't terrible, but places like Webster Hall and Terminal 5 have horrible views of the stage, and are also are like 110 degrees by the time the show starts.  The rest of the venues in that size range like the Beacon or Town Hall are not GA, they are all seats.

There are countless smaller bar/ballroom's like Highline/Bowery all over the city.  Only problem with those is it will be damn near impossible for us to get in.

This is all specualtion at this point anyway we dont even know if they are playing, GNR could play a TGI Friday's for all I care, that would be just as awesome,  However I do get why people would be excited about the Hammerstein.

Oh man. It would be so unbearably good if GNR played at the Ritz (is the place still around?). I still have to watch the '88 show from time to time. What a moment that was. Clearly the pinnacle for the original lineup.

It would almost be like coming full circle. Seeing these boys doing a down n dirty rock n roll show at the Ritz would such a treat.

If its been awhile You should rewatch it. Its maybe the greatest rock performance ever. It may not be the most technically flawless show but, it's the most high energy crazed dirty drunken glorious mess that is just so perfect and is just so fucking rock n roll. It knocks me the fuck out every time.

I would love this version of GNR to go there and just get fucking crazy!

- Yea I said it. Fuck YEA!
