I've switched to Chrome a few months ago, got really bored with Firefox but looks like I'm changing back to it.

New version looks great and so far performs great.

for me the extensions can't be beat in FF, and now the new version feels as fast as chrome to me.

One thing that drives me nuts, when right clicking a link, they've changed the order of:

to:

It's going to take some time to get used to the new order of these commands.

The one thing that bothers me too! I've been opening new windows left and right.

You can easily solve that problem. Just set your middle mouse button to "open link in new tab" and just open it with that instead of right clicking on the link.

When would you want to open a page in a new window? I have it set to always open links in new tabs. Don't have to right click or anything.

So every link you click on, immediately opens in a new tab?

I would find that annoying...

Well yes and no, the thing is that I've used that method for so long that I automaticly do it with out thinking, something that's in the muscle memory of my hand, so using the middle mouse button is basicly the same.

Thanks for the link, after couple button place changes I'm quite happy with this now.

I tried and opened ten tabs in a short time but didn't crash, might have something to do with physical memory?

No, I should have been clearer. Normal links work as usual, any link that would open in a new window opens in a new tab instead. I'm saying you never need "Open Link In A New Window". If you manually want to open any link in a new tab, middle click it. This way everything is in one browser window. Of course, this is how I prefer it, others might like their pages in different windows.

P.S: It's the "Open Windows In A New Tab Instead" setting.

No.  Maybe it is the site you were on?  I've installed it on many machines and no crashes at all so far!
Also, it could be your profile. you may need to eventually create a new one or perhaps disable some addons?

Just happened again a few seconds ago. I had Twitter, Facebook & HTGTH opened.

strange! Can you see if creating a new account on the computer and using FF does the same thing?
if so you'll need to recreate your firefox profile.

Not sure about about that since I use just one profile on my PC. But on my other 2 PCs and my laptop firefox works perfectly and I haven't had a crash on them since the new version came out. So yeah, probably something is wrong with my main PC but I'm not sure what. I have win7, loads of RAM (4gb), great processor, hard drive is fine, graphics card is great (probably has nothing to do with it) so I'm kinda wondering what's the damn problem.

try running firefox in safe mode and see if the crashes still happen. if not it is one of your extensions and you'll have to disable them one by one to isolate the issue.

but if it's a profile problem, no real way to tell without creating a new one under a new user account.

I've finally lost my patience with Firefox, keeps crashing all the time and I have no clue what's the problem.

Switching back to Chrome, haven't had a single crash yet with it.

yeah im having crashing problems also and I'll be on a website and all of a sudden will get a 404 page not found error which is frustrating.

that 404 problem is very odd.  you should try to create a new firefox profile and see if that works.
