I can't believe there is actually people that will pay for this... Sadly, maybe I can believe it:

Gamecrush Web site swamped by thousands of requests from horny gamers

Last week, we brought you the story of Gamecrush.com ? a new online 'dating' service that lets you play video games with attractive females in exchange for cold, hard cash.

The Web site, which launched last Tuesday, is basically an escort service that substitutes Halo for sex. For the princely sum of US$41.70 an hour, you get to choose a lady from Gamecrush?s roster of buxom ?PlayDates? and proceed to pwn her in the Xbox 360 game of your choice (currently, the service supports Modern Warfare 2, Gears of War 2, GTA IV and Halo 3).

After each session, players can rate 'PlayDates' on their hotness, skill, and flirtiness ? with the highest-rated PlayDates gaining prime position on the Web site. (PlayDates also get to keep 60 percent of what they bring in.)

When we first heard about Gamecrush, we were confident the service would vanish overnight due to a complete lack of interest. Male gamers would surely see it for the cynical cash-grab it was. After all, it's not like we're all geeky virginal losers who desperately crave female attention and are willing to pay for it... Right?

Er, it turns out the 'nerdy male gamer' stereotype may be closer to the mark than we all think. The Gamecrush Web site is currently down due to a massive influx of traffic. ?The GameCrush Public Beta is temporarily unavailable due to the incredible user response (more than 10,000 inquiries in five minutes),? explains the front page.
