You are correct, indeed. No vox? Strange...Fucking great music, though.

If anyone should happen to "compile" these streaming songs, please send me a PM  ;)

Can't wait for the Cornell song to go up!!

That sounds awesome, wish it had the vocals....

Not a Fergie fan but think she really adds to the song in the clips i've heard.

I agree. She's got a great voice. Reminiscent of Pink, but with more range and power.

Well, I can only speak for myself and I've never had a problem with her presence. I am not much of a music snob and listen to pretty much anything that catches my ear.

When I play it on the ESPN thing it's an instrumental no Fergie?

Isn't that weird?

Yeah, that seems to be the case. Not sure what happened there.

haha alright.
I thought I went half deaf or something. Everyone else talking about her voice and what not. I tried headphones and replugging my speakers.

First "Paradise City" was pulled, now this song without vocals.  Is she off the album?  Was the problem with Fergie's release?

Title: Re: Slash "Beautiful Dangerous" Streaming Now
Post by: MrMojoRa on March 23, 2010, 04:42:39 PM
Just relax Funky, it's either a mistake...... or they are trying to show how fanfuckintastic the song is without her vocals because alot of people are being stiff dicks by bashing it JUST BECAUSE Fergie is on vocals bitching about how Slash is selling out. They are not even giving the song a chance of being rockworthy.

Fact is, that Fergie CAN ROCK! She did a song called Wake Up that didn't end up on any of her dics, which DID rock!

Listening to this track without her vocals makes you beg for it cuz she does do the song justice.

But, I think it's a mistake. She'll be on the song when the album drops.

Just relax Funky

I'm calm. :D

I just mean possibly there was a problem getting a release from her label.  It's being released in Japan so we'll know soon.  She's probably on it, he's still talking about her in interviews.

I'm sure it's just a mistake. Someone sent them the intrumental track instead of the finished track. It's probably just coincidental that it affected Fergie's song. Paradise City being pulled from the album probably has more to with GN'R bureaucracy than anything else, so I'm confident Fergie's song will be intact on the album. It would be a big loss if it weren't, and they know it.

I'm curious what the studio version of this song will sound like with vocals...but as an instrumental, it's pretty cool.

Was it Eddie Trunk that said this song had a stripper vibe -- I can see what he's saying.

Yep, sounds really promising from an instrumental point of view.

I think this is the one track that has really taken me by surprise, because I fuckin HATE Fergie, but I think she does well on this, well, at least from the 30 second sample with her actual vocals she does... :hihi:

Yeah, I know it's been said before by Eddie Trunk and others, so this is far from an original statement.  But this track is going to surprise some people.  I'm hoping for a video for this song so I get to look at Fergie rolling around and shaking her ass for 4+ minutes.  Is that too much to ask?

I would like this song if it was an instrumental.  But after hearing Fergie's vocals...this song has surprised me.

Hey, not bad at all. The outro is pretty cool. Only the ending of the chorus is a bit meh, but I like it better than Starlight.

If they're wanting a cross over song, that's it.

Like the her/the collaboration or not, Fergie's got serious pipes.

Yeah, I'm sure this was their diamond in the rough.  The Adam Levine track has some crossover potential too, I'd presume.  I'm most looking forward to the M. Shadows track now.

This should be the next single with a video, released on April 6. The Levine track is a ballad so it won't make a good first single.
I guess the Lemmy and Iggy tracks are what's left for me. We've heard 10 out of 19 tracks so far.

awesome song! i really like this alot. she has a decent rock voice. she pulls it off nicely.

not only is this my favorite, but i belive this is the most radio-friendly song i've heard. i could see this being a hit.

right before the solo it reminds me of "barracuda" by heart. can't wait to crank this song on good speakers.

Vocal melody of the chorus sounds ALOT like Lady Gaga's Paparazzi.  Seriously, a bit too much for my comfort.

There is a slight similarity to Papparazzi in the melody to one line. That's it! Out of the entire songs, that's all there is!

good music can be found anywhere, when you realize that, your life will become much richer!

lady gaga is very talented and has some good songs (but most are shitty), mentioning the similarity is not slamming the song or that part, not for me at least.. and it's not like lady gaga was the first with that melody, someone mentioned berlin's take my breath away as another example

Ummm, it just so happens that one line is the hook in both songs.

Kinda important........

The hook in both songs is more than one line. If you can find me a completely original melody that isn't in someway similar to anything else ever written, I'd sure like to hear it.

The hooks in both songs have a striking similarity. It is a big part of what makes a song a hit. In fact, after hearing it again, almost the entire chorus of BD's vocal melody up to the point where it flattens out sounds like the first half Paparazzi's chorus.

Original melody? November Rain? Madagascar?

I do agree with this. It'd do her good to get away from the Black-Eyed Peas, too. (Individually, they're all very talented people, but their joint musical output has been getting steadily worse).

Yes, I agree about the BEP. I actually liked the stuff they did in the early-mid nineties the best, before Fergie. But I was also sitting here listening to Beautiful Dangerous and it occurred to me that I would've loved to hear her sing a version By the Sword.  That got me thinking about who's doing it live and since I'm not a big fan of Myles, I started to wonder what other singers on this album could do a good job with these songs live, and she was the first singer that came to mind. The more I think about it, the more I would love to see it happen at some point. But hey, if Slash records a rock album with Fergie, who knows...?

I just listened to this.   Pretty good. Takes about a min. to get good but I like the pre-chorus the chorus and the solo.  Slash sounds really good.  I don't really like the verse, that part kind of reminds me of Alanis Morsette lol  After first listen I would rate this a 'B'.

To everyone talking about how it sounds like a stripper anthem , random bit of info. Slash was just on KROQ and said that the song originated as part of a movie score for a scene that was in a strip club.
