Here Today... Gone To Hell!

This is in my mind the best game with references to metal although I wish they had Slash, or another past or present GNR member in the game but other than that this looks like the game to buy if you play video games and love metal!!!!!

This is a video game about Metal set in a land were every thing their looks like it came out of a metal album cover. ;)

This games main character is played by Jack Black and other metal legends suck as Ozzy Osborn are in the game.


This game comes out for the PS3 and 360 on October 13

if only they had Axl or Slash in it hell Slash could have been Eddie Rigs (Jack Black) guitar teacher or something but this is gona be one of the best games i have seen in a long time  :smoking:

it looks funny, but who knows if its a good game, i prefer to buy batman,modern warfare 2, uncharted 2 before this game, i like Jack Black, specially his tenacious d movie, but its different with a video game.

yeah but I personaly have seen the 1st part of the game and it looks just fuckin perfect some people like me have been waiting for this since 2007 and I cant wait to have a go at this game ;)

Its funny because the glam tracks on the soundtrack are better than any of the other songs on the soundtrack.

Guns N Roses are not a metal band. And i doubt Axl would agree to let them use a song on this soundtrack because i cant see him wanting GNR to be associated with a lighthearted joke game.

This game is about metal purely.

But anywasy like i said. The glam tracks are the best songs on the soundtrack of that game. 3 Inches of Blood are hardly the best metal has to offer...the singer sounds like fucking Gollum from Lord of the Rings and the lyrics are all "WARRIORS OF METAL DEFEND THE CAUSE".

I played the demo for Brutal Legend (on 360) the other day.  I immediately went out and pre-ordered it.....

Funny as fuck and a LOT of fun!

yeah how i could forget. When i played that game that song was on every menu section haha , it almost killed paradise city for me!

Ditto.  It's not "kid appropriate", which means it's tough to find time to play right now.  Splitting between that and Uncharted 2 (which, so far, is AWESOME!).

On Chapter 10 (just starting) in Drake's, though.

I beat the game this weekend I had 3 days off and the online multiplayer is real good I hope they make a sequel to this game because they have been working on this game since School of Rock came out so I am sure they have something in the works...

...what would that be? School of Rock 2? The return of Dewey? Most movies are not meant to have sequels. This being one of them.

It's been out on the torrent sites for a bit now (both PC an 360 versions).  If he's got a modded 360 (or a PC with a game pad, hooked up to a big screen), it's a simple as dowload and burn.

I'm about 1/2 way through Brutal Legend.  Plugging through Drake's, as well...and spending some time with Borderlands on my PC when I get a free minute or two.

Tuesday = Dragon Age.  :)

microsoft is banning a lot of xbox live accounts due the modded consoles, do you play online?

i think some stores in the US are already selling the modern warfare 2 game, i have to wait two more days to get it here in Mexico.

About 20 - 25 hours in.  And it's VERY good.  Time is FLYING by as I play.

Storyline is very good...lots of political intrigue.  Characters are very good, as is there personal storylines.

If you ever played any of the other Bioware RPG's (Knights of the old replublic, Jade Empire, Mass Effect), you'll likely LOVE this one.

Lots of blood, a litte (pretty tame) sex, and some very imaginitive story telling.  Combat and RPG mechanics are both REALLY well done (though I bristle a bit at the stupid subspecialty mechanics..you have to FIND a trainer willing to train you in them, and they aren't easy...or particularly cooperative..to find.  My one gripe).  You can play it as an action RPG (REALLY HARD), a turn based RPG (with judicious use of the pause button...sorta boring) or a combo of both (excellent!).  The loot is interesting, too.  Not as cool as Borderlands or a Diablo clone, but different enough to keep you interested.  Gold is hard to come by, and merchants are overpriced considering that....but the loot you find in game makes the merchants (for me) as simple "dump and go" outposts.  Occasionally they have a good item (backpack expansions, tomes of learning) but otherwise what I find seems to be better stuff.

OH, and if you're playing on the PC:  The Tab button is your friend.  works just like it does in the Diablo clones. Press it and everything clickable/findable pops up on the screen.  :)

Gamestop was letting their pre-order folks pick up the game yesterday, around noonish.  My brother got a call telling him he could come in and get it.  Apparently some other retailers (Toys R us, I think??) were selling the game early, so Gamestop followed suit.

It came out a few days back in UK.

I got the game for a cool ?22. Almost half price. Now thats what i call a bargain.

I need Cod Maodern warfare 2 now that I heard from my friends about the nuke and the funny storys that happened when they used it.

Actualy in my town they ordered way to much of the game I guess because the shelfs are just stacked with COD and some other new games.

Yeah and at that time period I think a Muslum Nation has control of Spain and made it so they wouldnt have to pay a religous tax if they converted. But I could be mistaken.
