I actually find myself a bit self-righteous...it's not such a bad thing.  What keeps it alright is always remaining flexible in your perspective on life/issues/etc.

I think I was a bit self-righteous in my indignation surrounding the Vick issue...yes, it was terrible.  Yes, he should do time in jail.....but...once his debt is paid to society, and a suspension is served, he should be given a shot at redemption.  My wife totally disagrees with me, but what can I say, that's how I feel.  I'm not advocating animal abuse, but we've got guys in the NFL who have beaten their wives, been involved in murders, etc.  How can we justify throwing the book at a guy who participated in something that (while horrible) still isn't as bad as what those other guys did.  Just sayin'  :-[

Back to topic, this senator, Craig, is an idiot douchebag for sure.   I'm so sick of the leadership in the US doing illegal things, taking money, having scandals, and downright insulting the rest of us.  This isn't a small percentage of our leadership either.  It's getting ridiculous!  And it's not a Democrat-Republican thing either.  During streaches of time, one party is worse than the other...then it swings to the other party...then back and forth.  It's a cycle.  This is an arrogance thing all the way.  Makes me sick.
