It really was a special game.  Damn, it was so crazy, he made incredible pass after incredible pass that game.  It was truly special.

Don't know who Jennaside is, but I did record the game to DVD-R and would be happy to send her a copy of it!

As for Brett's 25 INTs, doubt it.    Pack got screwed by injuries early and often in 2005 and he had to try to bail his team out each and every game, so there came the 29 picks.

Last year he only had 18, which is too many but again he was working with a rookie line and backs and TEs were kept into block VERY often, so there were very few oppurtunities to have 3-4 WR sets for Favre to work with.

He is still one of the best at reading defense and moving safeties in coverage.

The line got good down the strech last year and  should continue that trend this year as they all return healthier tahn 2006.

Who knows, we'll see.... even the elite teams in the NFC are not all that good.  The Bears defense was pretty good last year, but got embarresed in the SB.  If Tommie Harris stays healthy, they should probably be pretty good on that side of the ball this year.    Their offense will be average, at best this year. Grossman still sucks. Thomas Jones was the MAN.  If Benson can't carry the load, they are doomed.  Greg Olsen will prove to be a waste of a 1st RD pick.  If you are a TE in the Bears offense, you must be an excellent blocker. Olsen can't and won't block.

As for the Raiders, yes they sucked that year because they had HUGE injuries - remember they were in the Super Bowl less than a year before this game.

How many games have they won since the super bowl? 12, 14?

A Vikings fan, are we?  :hihi:

I remember watching that game.  I usually get pretty worked up when the Pack play, but I was so calm for that one, I knew everything would be fine.

Ahhh, Brett Favre.  I remember those nail-biters in the 90's when they would just coast throughout the whole game, and then in the fourth quarter, Favre would engineer these amazing comebacks.

The NFC is weak.  They can at least grab a wild card spot, and many people forget that they ALMOST made the playoffs last year.

Brett Farve one of the greatest Q.B.'s ever.? One of the best arms and as for throwing interceptions, Brett Farve said he doesn't care about them.? If you don't try to throw the ball down the field then why bother.? If he has the time from the line and the recievers to run the correct pattern and to be able to catch a ball thrown so hard, the Packers will win.? I would take Brett Farve as my Q.B. any day!? He is my favorite next to Montana and Namath.? He has had many games where he shows how good he is.? The game he played for his dad was most memorable.? On a different note, I am a Jets fan (no championships since 1969) makes me able to wait for the new GnR C.D.

Probably one of the hottest GNR fans I've ever seen.  (I'm married, and yes I'm allowed to say that)  ;D

God I remember that game so well.  It seemed everything he threw up came down in a Packers' receiver's hands.  For me, that was right up there with Agassi's last US Open and Tiger's 1st Major win after losing his dad in terms of emotional experiences in pro sports.   :'(

Anyway, that was a GREAT game. It gives me goosebumps.? I would love a copy if the offer still stands!

Top 5 QB's dont throw 5 picks in NFC title games.......

Montana, Unitis, Marino, Elway, Brady and Manning are all better than him...hes a top 10 at best

Brett has had two awful playoff games, true.  Sadly, I witnessed the latest one live :/

So has Peyton Manning.  His TD-INT ratio is worse than Brett's, in fact.  36-24   vs 18-15

Favre playoff games with multiple TDs:12, with multiple picks:  6
Manning's playoff games with multiple TDs: 3, with multiple picks: 4

Since Brett accomplished everything Manning has & more earlier in his career than Peyton did and has had more "big games" vs "poor games" in the postseason, I'm assuming Peyton is not in your top 10, correct?

ummm no actually....bretts career is over...Peyton still has alot of years to go......we will see when Peyton is done....yes Brett achieved alot more than Peyton earlier in his career, but lets be honest, he has done jack shit since 1997 up until this year......lets see how he does in the playoffs....dont get me wrong I like Farve, but he is a little overated...
