we should get everyone to get a petition going here for them to play it.

I see this topic come up every year at least 10-20 times....we all agree man, but Axl can't play ALL of his past hits.  He plays enough of them already!

War is a touchy subject these days, perhaps he'd like to avoid speculation. I remember when Def Leppard played "Gods of War" two years ago here in Tampa. The song was hands down the best number that evening, but the next day reaction @ DL.com was very negative, as many (moron) posters assumed it was an attack on US politics/Bush.

True, but he doens't have to play the same songs every night, he could mix the setlist.

very great band has this problem. There are numerous songs that are left off set lists due to time constraints..At least they play the hits..It's what the majority of the crowd are there for..

I'd like to see Breakdown added to that list.

GN'R most underrated song imo.

How is it that people are claiming this song was played at these two shows when it has never been played live by the new band ever?

It's a joke. 2002 was a riot, and '06 was canceled.

I think this would be a great song to play. Yes, it would stir up some controversy. To add even more fire, they should change "Chinese Democracy" to "Iraqi Democracy".

GNR needs a little fire.

I agree the previous poster. I think Axl is avoiding the song because of the current war.  Regardless if he's just playing the song for the fans, I'm sure all the pundits will spin it to say that Axl's making some anti-war statement.  The last thing Axl needs is more fabricated negative press.

People get pissed at just about anything nowadays.

Does anyone remember the protest against Peter Jackson for naming the 2nd LOTR movie "The Two Towers?"  Idiots thought he was making a 9/11 reference even though it was the name of the book written 50 years ago.

Add me to the "feel like an ass" category.... I wasn't even thinking when I was replying.

Now that I get it.....lol...
