The sound quality is very bad, high-bass. There's no FLAC version of this either. But the show is amazing : ok:

quit doing mp3 do real flac

I cant invent FLAC files dude, everytime I had the chance of making [real] FLAC files I did it, for example with the 05.12.06 GNROSAS DVD I shared in dime.

I have just the GNROSAS DVD of greece, and it doesn't have lossless audio like lots of his dvds (in DVD9).

Encoding the files to FLAC, when the source is lossy, is just stupid, completely senseless.

i hate fag p'3 is all

Title: Re: Euro 2006 Tour Audio???

i hate fag p'3 is all

That's cool, but FLACs made from lossy sources are just BIG mp3's. Same quality, but bigger size. No sense at all.

Everything depends on the source, not the format: the lossy SBD version of Chicago 92 sounds better than the lossless audience recording of the same show... if you dont have a real lossless source, well, I prefer having an mp3 rather than nothing...

mp3s from flacs are fine as long as they're not used for trading. some people just can't afford to download all in flac so mp3s are great for them. take it as it is. no need to bash mp3s

How big is the difference?
Can someone upload like, a flac of something?

How big is the difference?
Can someone upload like, a flac of something?

This is a comparison of the SAME WAV FILE, encoded into MP3 128 kbps and FLAC Frontend [Level8]

(http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/8265/comparfy9.jpg) (http://imageshack.us)

Same file: 02 -  Children Of The Grave

WAV: 51645 Kb > Compression ratio: 1|1 (uncompressed)
FLAC: 31.664 Kb  > Compression ratio 1.6 | 1 (61%)
MP3: 4686 Kb > Compression ratio 11 | 1 (9%)

Played in a standard PC speaker, you barely notice the difference in quality, but in a decent Hi Fi Audio System, the differences you'll notice are huge.

FLAC is useful because it gives you a more than decent compression (size) but the loss in quality is almost none.

wrong. the loss in quality is none - that's why it's losless ;)

that's right

the Greece FLACs that are around were made from the GNROSAS dvd BUT they're lossy, because the audio in that DVD is... lossy.
