i got this off someone on the VR bored....now many people may know i love slash/duff/vr but wow, what an amazing rant

i posted that in the VR section before today..

it's a great rant and i don't think it should be summed up with "they can suck my dick"

i know but fuck me it is hilarious they way he changes his voice its a great classic axl rant

Absolutely hilarious the way he lays that all out. Not sure I agree with it all, but funny nonetheless.

Slash and co talk about it when asked. They don't take 3 1/2 minutes during a show to stop and rant about it.  Also, I don't remember them ever telling Axl to suck their dick. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Also, wasn't it Izzy who wrote patience, and wasn't it Axl who used to cough and go *Bullshit* at lyrically opportune moments, back in '91-'93?  Seems like the behaviour of a hypocrite to me. 

I think you're misunderstanding the context. He says BS to the lyric "... coz' I'd rather be alone". Sort of like a joke. I don't think he was making fun of the lyrics or anything.

This rant--about how hard the band worked and how the band is touring because it cares about the fans-- contradicts more recent "information" that asserts that the 2002 tour was  forced on the band by management and that the band really did not want to do it.

I could not make out exactly what he  said about Slash. Anyone help out?

The clip just reminded me how morose Axl was throughout the tour, and how his behavior--the sarcasm, mimicking  voice--was erratic and unstable.

Thank God  he's better now.

He is a dick , he takes time out of a live show to talk about the past. Axl is like a little kid , I've heard all the ex members talk about it and its in a mature manner. Axl is like a baby , he whines not talks. He does need to grow up , he talks about slash and duff refusing to do a song , they where kids fuckin teens that is retarded though I will give him that. But he needs to learn to talk about it right not tell them to suck it , that is immature.

Still doesn't hold a candle against the Leeds rant.

But he seems more happy now on stage. And while the rants aren't as long as before, he still delivers classic statements like no other.
