Post by: Edward Rose on December 09, 2006, 06:35:54 PM Although cnn.com has yet to update this breaking news story, our local Fox affiliate TV station just reported this as being "a group of Grow Houses" that exploded. I can't find anything online with those details though...

No major injuries were reported, and the cause of the explosions wasn't known, reporter Randy Kraft from The Morning Call newspaper said. He said he was told that a contractor for the gas company was working at the homes, which were row houses, before the blasts occurred. Video showed debris hanging from trees. Authorities evacuated surrounding houses, but some of those residents were being allowed to return late Saturday afternoon. The blasts occurred between 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. on the south side of Allentown, which is north of Philadelphia. |
