The whole band, and Slash, even with his black hair, black eyebrows, and GREY beard :o look as cool as ever.

And I love the different bass and rythym guitars that Duff and Dave have. Good to see them mixing it up a bit.
Would love to hear them jamming and working out the new songs. Reminds me of the cool studio shots we got of them when they were working on Contraband.

It must be pretty cool for Scott and the band to be in the studio together throughout the whole process this time, rather than just the short periods he was allowed out of jail to record Contraband.

they were probably recording something acoustic-like.
remember on the UYI tour when they did the acoustic couch numbers in 93, he used a small kit on stage then.

Oh my God Slash looks friggin' gorgeous in that pic! I might be alone in this but I love his grey stubbles. I remember reading once (don't remember the source) that Perla's extremely jealous. Looking at her man I can see why. Can you imagine how women must throw themselves at Slash?!

Maybe they want to hear each other while they work out the parts?

He was dressed like that in some photos during the recording of Contraband too, I guess he's just dressing comfortably while they write and record. Cowboy boots (as cool as they look) aren't exactly all that comfortable to wear.

I wasn't too keen on Contraband, but I seriously think this new record is gonna rule. : ok:

I'm lookin forward to the new album and tour!! Saw them 3 times on the last tour (including the kick off in St Louis) and they delivered every time. I'll definately be going to see them again!

I loved Contraband, but it will be interesting to see how this turns out-they are so much more of a band now-if you remember Weiland was still in/out of rehab while recording vocals for Contraband-now he can devote all his time to this

Yeah, they can write the songs together this time.

In fact, I think he was only allowed 4 hours a day to lay down lyrics if I remember correctly

I think all of the songs were basically recorded, or near recorded-Weiland picked which songs he felt would work best with vocals/ideas he had in mind-if you remember on the documentary I think one of the singers was singing different vocals for what is now slither-that might be why the album was done so quickly that time-this time they might be taking their time on purpose, and Weiland can be more involved
