Seems like I dont have this one. How is it with audio extracted from dvd's, isnt there a quality loss, or reduced quality compared to a "normal" audio recording?

-Eirik

The original audio from that DVD is 448kbps DD 5.1.

I don't know if there is some quality loss, but the decoding process is the correct, I mean, the software extracts the sound straight to WAV 1411 kbps (it should not lose quality, I mean, there's nothing more I can do to preserve quality than extracting the sound to the most ''flawless'' audio format)

I splitted that WAV file it into other smaller WAV tracks. When I got all the tracks separated, in WAV format, I encoded them all with FLAC Frontend 1.1.0 Level 5

This can not be considered as lossless, but I can say that this is the exact audio from the DVD. We dont have nothing ''better'' than that till the moment (now there's a 2 DVD version of this same show if Im not wrong, but these files were made from the xBrownstonex/Limulus 1DVD

I uploaded the flac files from that extraction 2 weeks ago in this same forum, but they were YSI files, absolutly expired now.
