Purple Rain is the obvious "entry" album... But Sign O' The Times and Parade are his best works. The Batman soundtrack rocks aswell, as it's a short but easily enjoyable pop/dark funk album. Around the World in a Day is what would happen if The Beatles made an '80s art pop album - Generally interesting, but challenging. As for '90s Prince, The Gold Experience is his best album of the decade - It's out of print, but not too hard to find. Come is also terrific - Very dark and claustrophobic, but edgy and just cool to listen to. If you're just looking for great individual songs, check out: Pink Cashmere Endorphinemachine Something in the Water Thieves in the Temple The Future The Love We Make The Morning Papers Just avoid either of his last two albums (Musicology and 3121), and you'll be alright. I admit I haven't bothered to get into much of the 90s stuff... yet, at least. I know there are at least two or three other Prince fans around here, so you should be able to get a wide range of preferences when it comes to the purple one. Skeletor's list has a bunch of spectacular songs on it too - I Wish U Heaven, Paisely Park, and The Beautiful Ones are some of his most unique songs. Title: Re: Well...
