These tests are interesting. I'm not sure how accurate/trustworthy they are, but it says they're used in colleges and developed by those with PhD's, so I guess it must be fairly good.

I just took it and scored 124. Here's what my result said:


I found this rather interesting because I'm definitely stronger when it comes to verbal skills and always have been. I've never been good at math. However there weren't many math questions on the test so I'm surprised it picked up on my characteristics that way.

Anyway, anyone else taken one? What score did you get?

I think they're pretty fun but can drain me sometimes.  :P

I've done a bunch of them in my time and the only conclusion I've come to is that no test is good for testing absolute intelligence. They are usually too culture bound, or test the 'intelligence' very one sidedly. And they measure the iq in different deviations (15, 16 and 24).

Last test I did was one at www.iqtest.dk. The test takes about 30-40 minutes if I remember correctly. The results were 133, 135 and 152 (on the different deviations 15, 16, and 24). The result for the 24 is the one that Mensa uses in their test results. I'm really against these tests because they're usually misinterpreted and misused to push forward people's own agendas (in doing statistics and 'scientific research') and have very little to do with a persons actual intelligence and capabilities to succeed in life. Okay..? maybe not very little, but people do make it out to be a competition, and look at the numbers way too much.

Well i flicked through it took me 10mins im at work so have not got 40mins spare I got IQ score of 105 its about right I usually deviate between 100 - 120  im ill today so im happy.

I did 120, but English is not my native tongue, so I probably could hd done better...

I got through 10 qusetions, then breezed throught the rest of the 30 questions. My IQ is projected at 105, juging by what I did,   I am a fucking genious!!!

  Surprisingly, the test result was extremely close to my official results, which span the 130's.  It was 135.  I have to laugh about taking a test with hot, air-brushed babes' photos blinking on the side of the screen!  I think this test is biased against straight men and gay women!!!   :hihi:

Internet IQ tests are worthless. I've taken the real thing and I'm more than 3 standard deviations above the norm, and it gets really hard to measure after that. I don't care about it.

I had a 136.  Last one I took before this was on IQTest.com, where I scored a 155.

I choose to believe the latter.

I have stopped taking this kind of tests, because the IQ scale is different everytime, so the results may vary.

MENSA is using Cartell tests and the Raven scale - I suppose if there's one more IQ test I'm taking, it's the MENSA test.

I score 147 with Mensa and my baby's dad is 148, remember doing tickle for fun, i was some kind of inventing person who should be left alone in an office just creating or having ideas, a bit of a loony, but a very clever one.. :hihi:
