Title: Bad customer service
Post by: dolphin on October 05, 2006, 04:22:26 PM
So I drive to walgreens because my hair dryer broke and I had to buy a new one.

I find a hair dryer that is on sale for $10 marked down from original price of $15.

I also pick up some soup because I have a cold at the moment and wanted some comfort food.

I go to check out and the cashier proves he is an idiot.

He kept telling me that the bill should be $27

The soup totaled $5 (bought a few cans of campbells) and the hair dryer was $10.  With tax that would NOT come to $27.

So I ended up having him void off the whole order and redo it and he got an attitude with me.  And his attitude really showed when the total came to $15.70 like I told him originally.

That pissed me off because it shows me that people can't do simple math and I have no patience when it comes to people who can't do their job correctly.

Post your terrible customer service story.

thats annoyning. well i dont have one particular story, but its more like reaccuring. every week once a week right from my classes, me and my friend go to pick up lunch at this italian place. every day that we go in there the cashiers always give me and my friend attitudes, their all bitchy and stuff and its really aggravating. theres no reason for it and sometimes i hate go shopping just because of the stupidity and the attitudes people give you.

There are 40,000 (or something of that order) restaurants in NYC, why would you go back to the same place if they treat you like that?

I work with people everyday, its amazing the hoops I have to jump through to make em happy, but at the end of the day, its my job, and I do it cause I like it, and its fun. And someone who is in anytype of bussiness , beit retail , restuarant server, etc, if they are assholes to customers, they should not be doin that kinda work.

I have only worked one customer service job, and I wasn't good at it. I just looked at people until they said something and never said anything to them unless they asked me a specific question. FIRED

I bought five packs of ground beef that clearly said "Buy one pack, get one free."  So, I bought 6 packs (I only needed 5 packs, but since even numbers were free, I decided to get 6.)

I went to pay, and the meat came up as full price for each pack (nearly 5 dollars a pound) and I was like "It said 'buy one get one free' on the sign."  The dude was like "Well it's not ringing up that way" and I said "BUt the sign said it, and that's the only reason I bought this meat."  He was like "Hmm.  OH!  I know what you're talking about.  That meat was packaged in double packages" and I said "There weren't any double packages back there, and this meat was right next to the sign."  He was like "Well, this isn't that meat."

Now, I shouldn't have to tell someone more than twice that I think it's being priced wrong.  I realize that there is a possibility that I  could be wrong, but even if the customer is dead wrong, you're still supposed to at least check it out for them, right?  So I was like "Listen, I bought this meat because it was buy one get one free, and I wouldn't pay these high prices for the meat otherwise."  Then I said "I'm not bitching at you, because you're not the one who prices the stuff" and he was like "Right, I just stand here and scan."  He was absolutely not going to check it out for me.  I was kind of shocked, and very pissed, but I just gave up because there was another person standing there, and I was just speechless, I guess.

I know that I might have been wrong, and I know that a lot of times, customers are assholes unecessarily, but still, he should have went back and checked the prices for me, or gotten someone else to do it.

EVERY store in Sweden has bad customer service. The people who work there are all uninterested and if you ask them something you are lucky if they even talk to you, most of them just point somewhere and then continue working. Since I live here I never really thought about it, but then last summer I went to the US for five weeks - WOW, what a difference! People say hi when you walk through the door, if you ask where the bread is, they actually FOLLOW you to the bread, or at least calls someone who will. They are almost always nice and treats you with respect, it's such a huge difference.

Customer service. haha

I work in a shop with a photo machine and it clearly says "SELF SERVICE" and has the instructions on the screen. Yet people queue up for 10 minutes for us to tell them that.

Then they say "Oh i couldn't possibly do it" . . .WHY? are you an idiot i think. Fair enough if they try and cant do it, then i'll help but i have no sympathy for people who dont even try.

Post your terrible customer service story.

However this guy you got was obviously rude and a prick.

I once got billed ?1700 for a mobile bill . . . anyway cut a long story short i got 4 months use of my phone free and all my money back.

The worst customer service in England is definatly in Burger King . . . they are so lazy its stupid. and for a fast food resturant  . . how come i could kill a cow and cook myself a burger quicker than it takes them to put it in my hand.

Once i waited 14 minutes for a cheeseburger . . haven't been back in 4 years. By the time i finished the burger and got back to work i had like 1 minute left of my lunch.

Oh
