GUNS N' ROSES Drummer Joins Forces With Music Software Producer

GUNS N' ROSES/PRIMUS drummer Bryan "Brain" Mantia has joined forces with Audiowarrior producer Greg Giametta to create two world-class drum track building titles ? "Brain Drum Track Builder Kreator-Plug-In" and and "Brain Drum Track Builder Reason Refill" ? both of which work on any computer running Mac OS X or Windows XP.

For more information, visit www.audiowarrior.com.

Brain toured extensively with PRIMUS and played on the bands's releases "Brown Album", "Rhinoplasty", and "Antipop". In 2000, Axl Rose invited Brain to join GUNS N' ROSES, with whom the drummer appeared for sporadic live dates in 2001 (including the Rock in Rio II Festival) and 2002 (including the MTV Video Music Awards). Brain put down the tracks for, and is currently on world tour supporting, the upcoming GUNS N' ROSES studio release, "Chinese Democracy".

What I want to know is, and this is a little off topic, but would Brain, Richard, and Tommy be successful and have other projects and options if they werent in Guns N' Roses?

What's that supposed to mean?

Brain's been off since June 20th to go home for the birth of his daughter.? And the rest of the band's been off since July 30th.

That's pretty cool.  I use Reason, and I'm always trying to create Brain-like drum patterns.

No brains.

Just the ability to play the song the way it's supposed to be drummed.

The first one doesn't require Reason.  I'm not positive on the the Reason Refill, but I imagine you need Reason to use it.

There are plenty of torrents for Reason 3 out there, but it only costs US$300 too if you wanna be legit.

Don't forget BT (Brian Transeau) folks. All of those listed (Brain, Tommy and Richard) have and still are playing with BT on his studio albums.

And just so you know, there was (and possibly still is) a chance that BT will be remixing some of the new Guns material (I can forward proof to Jarmo if needed).

a.
P.S. - I'll be getting the Reason Refill. Use Reason all the time. Great software!

So has it been confirmed anywhere (since after the tour), that Brain will be returning to Guns?? I've been worried since he never came back for the rest of the tour

No fucking way, you think anyone cares about fortus or brain...?? The reason they stick around is because they known where the easy fame comes.. Playing under the gnr name will give these people instant fame.. You think they;'d be playing sold out shows across the lands as fortus and brain,.. :hihi: Same way dave kushner for vr would be doing great outside vr

A good name comes with time... I'm sure more people know about both of them than one would suspect.  Kushner is just a homo though, nobody would know him if it wasn't for VR.  Noone knows who he is now that he's in VR anyway, so it doesnt matter too much...

You don't think that they could have grabbed "easy fame" by touring with any of the pop acts that they've done session work for? Who gets more mainstream coverage, axl or christina?

And, well, I don't know if you've noticed (maybe you were too busy watching baywatch or debating the merits of david hasselhoff's music career) but everyone in the current GNR line-up has already had a successful career, either with other bands or behind the scenes. None of these guys came running to axl begging for work.

how can you say no fukin way mike. Aside from really Tommy and maybe Brain all of the members careers were based on side projects. GNR hasnt changed that. It was liek that prior to GNR.

Would we know about some of the members if they werent in GNr? Most of them we wouldnt. But thats a lot different than saying they wouldnt have side projects if they werent in gnr.
