Well..That depends on what sound you're going for.
My future setup includs wahwah, chorus, delay and maybe a boost pedal for leads.

If you don't know, buy a cheap multi-effect. Then decide which kinda sounds you like and buy them as invidual pedals. (or use the cheap multi-effect  ;) )

What genre of music do u play? A equalizer for lead boost might be a good buy later, when u become good enough that u actually want people to hear ur solos.  ;)

if u can get a good valve amp, a marshall if u can.

have a wah, a DD pedal and a chorus. the others you can get but it is a good idea to get a shitty effects pedal try the sounds and buy individual pedals because the sound of individual pedals is so much greater than crappy multi fx.

You can't do without distortion or overdrive buddy...

1st... you gotta get a KILLER tone, and a killer distortion... do not spend money in boss compact pedals until you get a real guitar... they are useless plugged into a crappy amp and guitar

2nd... get an eq pedal... it allows you to boost your solos, or maybe to reduce unwanted noises if you play with a wahwah too loud

3rd... if your guitar hasnt great mics and you're planning to play LOUD, get a noise reduction

4th... you can also get some overdrive pedal if your amp is a vintage (marshall jcm800 etc)

5th... chorus / reverb if you like some special sound for a clean ballad or something

6th... delay, if you learn to use it right you can get some nice tricks...

most of those equipment are just TOYS wich you are using for maybe 1 or 2 songs...

I recomend you tu get a decent multi-effects and try all the effects to find out your own sound and then if you consider it buy separate pedals

boss pedals are pretty useless plugged into everything.
