Title: Which DVD's to use when burning
Post by: sjgotnitro on June 21, 2006, 10:02:42 AM
What is better to use and why. I asked it before in another thread and I got a response to use

-R instead of +r

Can some one please explain and why. I have burned a few to date on -R and I notice they do not play in my Playstation 2, I have other dvd players so it is no big deal. Also the brand I have beeen using is phillips.

i think -R is generally more compatible with older players...+R's are better quality but are only readable with newer technology

but I'm not 100% positive so don't quote me on it :nervous:

Verbatim DVD+R is the best of the best for movie back-ups.   Also set your bitrate to DVD-ROM for better compatibility with stand alone players.
