Title: XM Rio Feed in lossless, I have it - need help though..
Post by: darknemus on May 28, 2006, 02:31:10 PM
Hey all,

I've got the whole XM feed I recorded last night in lossless (FLAC).  I need an idea of where to put it, though.  Keep in mind, its currently 1 approx 500MB FLAC file as I didn't break it down into tracks or anything.  (I'm not really good at that sort of thing)

Also - the mix seems as bad as the AOL mix in some spots.. just a forewarning.

Someone help me out here and I'll be glad to share this with any / all that want it.

-darknemus

I could host it on my server, but I don't know how long it could last up there. We already have the Hammerstein lossless up, I could take those down temp. and see how it goes.

You could upload it there yourself, i could give you login etc

Also, on dimeadozen, cleveland 2002 sbd is allowed, and that's just one giant file as well.

If you plan to torrent this one on DIME,  DO NOT mention that your source is the XM broadcast or it will be banned immediately.

Ok guys, let us know! :)

XM broadcast is incomplete right? No new songs?

I'm afraid our only source (audio and video) for a complete show is the webcast. I say "afraid", but when I think 10 or 15 years ago we had to trade audio tapes months or even years after the shows took place, I really, really don't wanna complain.

Sounds cool Dark.
So the mix is just as bad as the one on AOL or just is certain spots?

Having not listened to the whole thing from beginning to end, I'm not 100% certain on this.  However, it does sound like pretty much the same mix we got on the AOL feed.  Perhaps cleaned up slightly, but yeah, still pretty suckola.

I'm throwing the FLAC up on PC Tracker now.  If anyone wants to retrack it or whatever, that's fine.

Enjoy,

someone who watched it on tv said they didn't have the sound problems. so i wonder if this is really from the tv broadcast..

This isn't from TV - this is from the XM Satellite radio feed.

No clue.  I do know that the eBay listing of Rio (Video) also mentions sound problems, so I'm assuming they're from the same soundboard source.

hey dark. i think it's better if someone splits the whole thing into the single tracks, because that way you can't burn it onto a cd..

hey people

does anyone know a good program to split the big flac file into the single tracks?
