Title: SuperGroup Post by: The Dog on May 23, 2006, 04:55:25 PM Anyone catch the first episode? I like the line up except for Nuge. Hes a good personality, but I think Seinfeld nailed it by saying his sound is very dated. The other guys are hard rock/metal and nuge is just 70s rock, doesn't really mix if you ask me. Shame they couldn't get someone a bit younger with a little more modern style. They couldn't dig up George Lynch? haha.
Baz is great - he should get his own reality show. I like how VH1 has had their metal month. Funny how if ANY hard rock/metal song was ever played on VH1 10-15 years ago people would have SCREAMED "poser" at the band. Title: Re: SuperGroup Post by: spacebrain5000 on May 23, 2006, 05:26:14 PM Personally, I really like the idea of the mix between old and new sounds! I am really excited to hear what they come up with, because obviously you got Old School Rock Ted with Modern Hardcore, Biohazard (Seinfeld) (Biohazard is a really great band by the way) and I think it'll come up with something new and unique. Anthrax also is a fantastic band, and I'm a huge old Skid Row fan. Basically, I think this is the greatest show ever.
I've only seen the first episode so far (on the net) and I'm way excited. Bas especially is obscenely entertaining, and Ted is a riot, and it's just great entertainment, and all out rock n' roll. Title: Re: SuperGroup Post by: Thorazine Shuffle on May 23, 2006, 05:59:08 PM The Nuge had me laughing all the way through that episode. The man is full of one-liners. :hihi:
But in the end, I kinda feel sorry for Jason Bonham and Scott Ian. Those two seem like the only ones out of that group that has any sense and actually want to create music instead of show off for the cameras. But hey, it makes for great television. : ok: Title: Re: SuperGroup Post by: D on May 23, 2006, 07:01:22 PM I like everyone but Biohazard's dude.
He is kind of a prick. Title: Re: SuperGroup Post by: Communist China on May 29, 2006, 03:01:44 PM It's funny as hell. I don't really know how much Doc McGhee is going to help, though. These egos make for great TV friction.
