Title: how rare is this?
Post by: crazyfool on April 22, 2006, 01:06:55 PM
I came across this full album of GNR studio (demo?) material in an odd way in late 1993.  The cd has 15 tracks of rough recordings, containing most of the AFD material, Shadow of your Love, and really rough versions of Don't Cry and November Rain. Other stuff too.  In fact the CD itself is entitled November Rain and has only a two sided sleeve with a pic of the band circa the AFD days on the front and a track list on the inside.  It seems like an import but it's definately studio recordings.  In the 13 years since, I haven't seen anything about these recordings mentioned anywhere and I'm hoping that someone can tell me where they came from....and what I really want to know is....how rare is this thing?  I can provide the full track listing if that helps anyone identify this disc, but as a sampler here is one of the tracks - Back off Bitch - with what sounds like SA on drums.  (I think Adler plays on all the tracks).  If you have never heard it - enjoy!  If this is a well known demo recording and you all have it already...well, let me know that too....

This sounds like one of the demo bootlegs that have been in circulation for a long time. I know I have demo cd's with those rough tracks on it.
