I have this feeling that if we have most of the album in our hands by the time Axl releases it he's just going to scrap it and start working on a new album or take other songs and replace them. It could be another 10 years until we see an offical release. :nervous: Even though these leaks are the best thing to happen to Gn'R fans in years, it could turn out to be the worst also... that way people wouldn't know who has them, and who needs them. I guess PM could be disabled. also, there should be a limited number of threads per song(or a seperate board on the forum). that way admins could have it under control. this way, there are 40 threads all over the place, and I guess it's hard to go through all that. And even if they weren't, a few leaks is not going to stop the release of the cd. You have to remember that the number of people who download leaked songs is a very small percentage of the record buying public, I mean I don't really know too many people outside of hardcore gnr fans who have even heard The Blues or Chinese Democracy. We make a big deal about leaks happening on the forms because sometimes we forget that everyone on here is the most hardcore of hardcore gnr fans, the general public doesn't even really know that gnr is hopefully going to be releasing a cd in the next while.

Intentional. Think about it. If these leaks weren't planned, you guys know Axl. He'd be LOSING HIS SHIT. He wouldn't be out partying and having pics taken in public and having a good old time and playing songs for everyone he sees. And like I said in another thread, it makes perfect sense for the leaked tracks to be of lesser quality than the album versions. Why would you leak the exact same versions? You wouldn't. You'd leak ones that sounded decent, were good enough to give people an idea of the songs, and make them curious to hear the album versions. You wouldn't leak half the actual cd. But you would leak a bunch of rough versions in order to get people curious enough to buy the cd to hear the finished versions. This is a total stunt. Which is fine. But the new people signing up, saying how Big Brother is watching us, threatening the fans, blah blah blah, that part is fuckin' lame. REALLY fucking lame. I'd also rethink that particular angle of acting like they're going after the fans for file sharing...yeah, that worked wonders for Metallica's reputation, didn't it.
