Title: Chinese Democracy Mention in MTV.com's 2006 Album Preview

Here's the part with GN'R and Chinese Democracy:

"But we can't forget about those other albums, the ones we've included in this preview story every year for at least, oh, five years now, and which we hope are closer to release than the last time we reported on them. We're talking about Dr. Dre's long-promised rapping swan song, Detox, Guns N' Roses' decade-in-the-making Chinese Democracy and the solo debut from ex-Rage Against the Machine leader Zack de la Rocha, who has been mostly MIA since quitting Rage more than five years ago. Reps for these artists tell us there is no new information on them, but here's hopin'."

no kidding man... I only like Rage's S/T album, but I still want to hear what he has been doing.  His first band Inside Out was awesome too.  Love those guys.

I remember them talking about Chinese Democracy last year and the year before that as well in past previews.

Well that would be an interesting tittle and funny as hell if they used it.I think it's cool how they mention Chinese Democracy year after year I mean how many more bands could keep the medias attention for a decade plus?It shows we're not the only ones who want the album to come out

Of course not. There's too many people waiting too, but they aren't in a message board.

I mean, here in Brazil, I have a board called Perfect Crime (http://www.perfectcrime.cjb.net). We have like 350 users in less than a year, but it's not that much. But when you see the several Guns N' Roses communitys on Orkut, they all have 60k people, mostly brazilians. Now, imagine this all over the world.

when you look at it , it damn impressive, not many bands you search for come up with a zillion boards, dedicated to then, neww or old, GNR are so .......well what they are as then ,and now, just need CD to solidify .

lately ive been reading various boards accross the net (not just GNR) and all the ones that discuss chinese democracy and GNR say they either love GNR and cant wait for the new album or they hate GNR but they still want to hear Chinese Democracy.this to me says when CD hits the world and if its any good then the GNR community will grow vastly.i personally think that GNR will be popular again one day.and i dont think CD has been forgotten about by the media its just that theres nothing to report.

They should name it to "Our careers are over"

CD in 2006?...LOL MTV has been saying this every year for 8 years! I remember on the new years eve party on MTV in 1997 going into 1998 they were saying 1998 was gonna be the year Axl Rose makes a come back! Man, my friend and I were so excited and couldnt wait, we just waited and waited through 1998...LOL

I go to those sites often.  They get rumors from the web like everyone else.  Most of the time, those sites are right.  With the exception of CD of course.

This happens all the time. An issue of Mojo magazine last year had Chinese Democracy on its list of albums to be released. It doesn't mean anything.
