Title: Concept design for a Future Guns N Roses Set
Post by: RKD on December 28, 2005, 01:38:12 AM
Hey, basically put i made this in 1 and a half weeks in Maya, a 3D Animation program. Its set in Las Vegas, outdoors and its getting dark. The setup on the stage itself is actually the actual 2002 setup on the stage (2nd Pic) and i've kind of expanded from it. The lighting is in the "Paradise City" setup which involves oranges and yellows. There are others such as Green for Jungle, Reds and Yellows for SCOM and Blues and Purples for Knockin On Heavens Door. This has been a major build but probably the most enjoyable for me personally being a GnR Fan so please tell me what you think

Thanks!

and the original 2002 setup

Looks cool.

The drum kit appears too small for whatever reason.  Maybe it's just me.

nice man, but I wouldn't like the stage to go that far into the crowd, it looks u2-ish..... the left and right big poster thingy's I would change into something more creepy like the man or girl tied up on this vegas poster:

I wonder where that one came from. That artwork looks awesome and somewhat a better fit. But that's just personal taste. Ooh and yes, the 2002 tour stage was great with the chinese signs

I like the 2002 concept design with the Chinese draws and the screens. But I hope the next stage will be bigger, something like a U2 Stage with tons of lights and giant (I mean really giant) screens. The Rock in Rio 2001 concept design was cool too.

Good job on the ego ramp. Imagine having Axl fly right be you on that. Pretty cool.

And you can tell its a GnR set-up because Axl is nowhere to be found in the building

I wish I had it too man, I would frame it, put some glass around it and stuff. And after that I'm gonna watch at it till my eyes fall off. Must be a pretty rare poster.

Nice work! Definetly looks like it'd be better for outdoor gigs-maybe just my perception. : ok:

Hey, thats a really cool set, I like it alot : ok:

Id rather see a huge album cover backdrop than a "Welcome to Vegas" sign but whatever floats your boat man.

I would really like for gnr to have  these big ass stages on the next tour so big that they would have to drill holes in the floor just to support the damn thing :smoking:
