Georgia is nice. Atlanta is really awesome. Savanna and Augusta are also cool places, but if you are not in a city, how can I say this...you may not find the people to be very "metropolitan"

Look into Florida. Its one of the best places in the country.

East coast kicks ass. Georgia is not too bad, Atlanta is cool but the city has no soul, no character. Chicago is better, but colder! ;D

California is awesome, but most find it difficult to afford to live there since it is so damn expensive.

California is too expensive...that is why I left and moved to Arizona.? After five years, not too sure it was the best thing to do.? ?:(

Florida and Nevada would be excellent choices to move to.? Orlando and Las Vegas have some job opportunities (they are tourist areas) and I believe the housing is affordable.

Georgia is a beautiful state.? And if you don't like Georgia, then there are 49 other states to try? ?;D

Northeast!

For Boston, for Boston, we sing our loud refrain!!  lalalalal-- sorry.

A lot depends on what climate you're used to and what you can deal with.  By your screenname, I'd guess you're Australian (thank you, Captain Obvious).  So the midwest may be a bit more suitable to what you're used to, although their winters can get pretty bad.  So maybe the south.  Or somewhere kinda between the south and midwest, like parts of Missouri.  So just as a warning, if you've never dealt with REALLY bad winters, avoid the northeast and northern midwest for now.  So no Massachusetts, New York, PA, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, N. Dakota, or Montana.

I dunno, just tossing out ideas here.

Don't go West, this part of the States like Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, etc. should all be relabeled as one massive state called Dumbfukistan.  I know because I made the mistake of leaving the Midwest for Arizona!

Florida sucks.

The only thing it is good for is investing.

To live...it is BORING.

Edit: I take it back, Key West is the shit, and Miami is ok, if that is your scene, which it isn't (mine).

The rest...sucks.

State bird, should be the finger.

I'm not saying that the Midwest is full of great thinkers but from what I've seen out here it sure seems that way.  They built roads out here where the water washes off the mountains thus turning streets into rivers.  Illegal aliens are everywhere.  Methamphetamine use has skyrocketed for years and just now they decide to be proactive about it.  I could go on and on.  To paraphrase Bob Dylan "I'm goin back east of the Missisippi, I do believe I've had enough..."

Not to pry into your love life but if Clint made u so happy why did u look for someone else? Im not accusing you of anything so dont get upset but Often times in life people, instead of being satisfied, constantly search for greener grass but most of the time u find that what u had was really what u were looking for all along.

I didnt look for Toni, i met him at a pub...and we started talking and i really liked him... and visa versa... and then he rang me.... not for any reason... just to hear my voice... clint never did that, i was the one ringing. but such is life i guess.. i mean, he is in school, and his phone allways cuts out.. but it would have been nice jus to recieve one phone call in the 4 months that we have been chatting.. to let me know that he's thinkin of me...

but clint has moved on now, he is seeing some other chick, but he still holds my heart, Toni is very much a gentleman... he makes me feel so special... I have been looking for some one like him for a long time... good/bad guy... he has a bad boy look about him, but he is also the sweetest thing on earth... clint is exactly the same, they are both the best blokes on the planet

It depends on how picky you are about what you will do.  Its easy to get jobs at fast food.  And if you were over 18, I'd hire you in a second, but you'd have to be willing to change adult diapers and wipe up drool.  Better paying, skilled jobs are harder to come by, at least in California.

You can't really live off of a fast food salary unless you're a manager, and in that case you'd be working 16 hours a day. Forget that! :hihi:

Maybe when you find out which state you'd like to visit/live, you could do an internet search of jobs in that area and mail off your resume. That way you would have a job waiting for you when you arrived.

Aussie:  Um... I realize that what I'm going to say is going to sound very condesending, and please know it's not my intention, but I suppose there's no real way to keep from sounding that way and say what I have to say.

It is possible to meet and fall in love with someone via the internet.  I'm living proof of that.

However... given what I've read just here in this very thread, I think that you're acting WAYYYY too fast on your feelings.  You seem to be juggling between your feelings for guy A and guy B, and this isn't fair to either guy, nor is it fair to yourself.

In my personal opinion, I think it would be prudent for you to sit back and think about YOURSELF at this point.  Based on what I'm reading here, I am getting this impression that you have a pretty low sense of self (meaning, you aren't happy just being who you are -- you aren't  casting the impression that you actually like yourself.) and you are relying too heavily upon these feelings for people that you don't really know very well to make you feel more satisfied with yourself.

You're playing a very dangerous game that will only end in regret and disappointment.

I offered a prequalifier to my statement, because I knew what I was about to say would be interpreted as a condesending put down, which was not my intention, but it was the only way I could think of to say what I felt needed to be said.

I agree that life IS too short to rationalize everything... but it is also too short to make decisions that are based only on emotions that appear to be flighty at best.  That is the way I've interpreted your actions based on what you've posted here, and you are right, I do not know you, and  I'm sorry if my judgement seems harsh to you.  It's none of my business what you choose to do, you're completely welcome to make whatever choices you choose to make with regards to your own life, I was merely pointing out the pattern that you've demonstrated within the course of less than 1 week, and I really don't think I'm the only person who sees it.

I wish you the best at whatever you choose to do.

Well since you asked. Your punctuation and capitalization skills sometimes leaves abit to be desired :hihi:

If you are still on the USA kick, as SLC, said Florida mostly sucks, unless you are retiring already. The city that I live in has a low cost of living but has alot to do and is within reasonable driving distance of Orlando and Miami. Overall though avoid Florida. Northeast is cool as long as you dont mind the cold. I was out in California recently and from LA down to San Diego is really nice and the weather is awesome.

Georgia is nice. Atlanta is really awesome. Savanna and Augusta are also cool places, but if you are not in a city, how can I say this...you may not find the people to be very "metropolitan"

Look into Florida. Its one of the best places in the country.

Except for (frequent) hurricanes.
