good read any way these two comments really stuck out for me

'bit by bit Guns N Roses became Axl Rose band, Moment by moment, Guns N Roses became Axl Rose'

and

'it doesnt really matter that somewhere sits a collection of songs that labour beneath the title of Chinese Democracy. it doesnt rally matter that thses songs may or may not get released one day. or at least it doesnt matter in the sense of Guns N roses, now no more than a name for Axl Rose. the songs may be Brilliant and the word is GOOD- but they belong to him, they are his. NOT GUNS N ROSES

its a great read it wirtes how good they were and how great they fucked it up and makes you think about the whole situation!!!

call it quits now!!

And get back with the REAL GUNS N ROSES!!

 :crying:

The real Guns N Roses?

There is no real Guns N Roses. The real GNR called it quits in 1990. By 1993 2 original members had left.

What's the point in longing for the past? It will never come again.

It's just stupid.

Picked it up today. Quite a good article and not as scathing as you'd think. Unfortuntaely, my scanner has decided its not compatible with XP (worked ok before...), so I can't scan it in at this moment - but I'll keep trying.

Thank you Pandora, and Jarmo.

Reading the article feels like a wild ride - going from nothing but with the promise of everything, to having everything, to where it is today.

Any article written fairly about GNR is bound to be an interesting read because the band's history is like the story of rock n' roll itself.  Perhaps that is why attention still lingers.

From the article:
"the first European writer to interview the band (so early in their career, in fact, that their singer still spelled his first name 'Axel').

I didnt know he spelled it that way at one point.
