| In some messages recently posted on Primus's official website's message board, band frontman Les Claypool gave a detailed rundown on what the band is currently up to. At the moment they are on an indefinite hiatus and have parted ways with drummer Brain who is rumored to now be playing in Guns N Roses. A falling out of sorts has also arisen between band guitarist Larry Lalonde and Les, which also prompted the time apart. On the bright side of things, Les has been in talks with former drummer, Tim Alexander and plan to have him re-join the group when they eventually get back together. Les also went on to stress that Primus is by no means breaking up and will assuredly get back together sometime in the future. For now Les is focusing on his newest project Les Claypool's Flying Frog Brigade which is made up of a variety of different people, some of whom have even been in the original incarnations of Primus. A live album from the group which was recently recorded will be released at the groups New Years Eve show in San Francisco at the Fillmore and he will also be launching his own official website, www.lesclaypool.com shortly. |
