News Greatest hits out in March!!

I check Gn'R at Amazon at least once a day.  It's been "28 results" in music since they pulled GH last year.  The results are all old stuff and imports.

On a realted note, I think I mentioned once before that in '91, just before UYI were given official release dates, employees at 2 music stores I went to told me that a "Greatest Hits" would be released in September.  Didn't make much sense, but they were convinced of it.  I'm not trying to give credence to a GH=CD smokescreen train of thought, but it's not entirely unprecedented.

We've seenthis shit for years. The biggest newspaper in Scandinavia even run a full story on how GNR would release CD in 2001...I didnt belive that for a second and I dont belive this either.

I don't believe that a Greatest hits will be released before CD, it just doesn't make sense to me.  

Even if Axl put a new studio track on it, it would still be great publicity for VR as people would associate GNR will Slash and Duff etc instead of Bucket and Tommy etc.

Axl wants people to get to know the new band, a greatest hits cd of the old songs is not the best way to do that IMO

I heard trough a good source(Universal) the greatest hits album is scheduled for March.
Sad news is also that Universal is putting out the record without approval of
the band.
Universal have also given up the CD record. This could really mean the end for the band.
This is 100% , please don?t kill the messanger.

Wow - this original post is 10 pages deep into the board.  It was posted almost a month ago...

The official statment from the record company makes no mention of the current state of the band.  It's almost like nuGNR doesnt exist for them...

Side note:  In just 1 measly month, we managed to generates 10 pages and millions of posts largely based on rumors!

Johan is the man.  He truely has an inside source and he posted it.  People gave him shit, but he stayed with the board.  Face it, next month we will see a GH cd.  Why anyone would buy it is beyhod me.
