Is it me or is the forum becoming major league slow?  I have DSL and every other website I visit, including other GnR sites, is wikid fast.  For some reason this site is slow at the moment.  So slow that as I type this, the list of smiley icons at the top STILL havent appeared.  The other icons are still drawing themselves... ooohh... here they come... one... by... one...

I reckon it could be due to the sheer size of the forum now... it must have bazillions of posts!

Oh, and are you using Gzip or something Jarmo?

Yeah, Compressed Output is enabled and I haven't noticed it being slower today than other days.

I know it's slower that the main site, but that's because it's on a different server.

I use dial-up and pages load pretty fast. About 10 seconds a page.

Yeah, I also have cable, and it just took about 15 seconds to fully load the posting page, after I clicked Reply. That's about 14 seconds more than it takes on most of the other forums I visit.
