well there seems to be a controversy about the thread being deleted.

i just have to say that it took me a while to figure out that it wasnt completely erased but instead moved into another thread. i think it would have been very helpful to have some kind of notification that the thread was merged into another thread, as it would have saved me lots of trouble trying to figure out what happened to it. also, it would have prevented bruni from thinking his thread was deleted. anyway, that's my suggestion about how to deal with stuff like that.

Well, probably the mod who moved it forgot to write something about it...

When you merge threads, you don't have the option to leave a "forward" thread (like when you move a thread).

Yeah that's my point.

I was the one merging the thread. I apologize for the inconvenience but like Jarmo said you don't have an option telling members the thread has been merged. Next time (and maybe that would be a good idea for other mods too) I think I'm gonna edit the main thread's title to say something like: "Title A + Title B" or "Title A merged w/ Title B". How about that? If the titles are too long we could shorten them a bit.

Or people will just have to assume that a thread about Philly will contain all the posts about Philly......  Grin
