This is my first thread and yes i know that this question has been asked before but the discussion was always a hot one...personally i love madagascar and that is probably one of my favorite GNR songs of ALL time...the Blues is great..especially the Rio version but Madagascar just has that magic that Axl can create..if u know what im saying....

Madagascar and The Blues have that special vibe that got me into GNR in the first place. The songs are more than just simple rock songs. Especially Madagascar, I never heard anything that compared. That was some feeling with November Rain and Estrange. I guess only Axl can make such awesome songs.

That's very hard coz I think that both of them are masterpieces. But if I had to choose I'd probably pick Madagascar but only very very closely.

Id say The Blues - Its got more of a hard rock/bluesy classic Gn'R sound to it.

I love them both, but if I had to pick one it would be "The Blues". [ok]

Both are awesome, and I mean that.
But I'd choose The Blues for personal reasons (lyrics).

I just can repeat my saying: Madagascar is my hymn. The best song I heard in years. I fell in love with it when I heard it for the first time in January 2001. Simply amazing. And I can't wait to hear more new songs aka Big Guns ... well, Madagascar is one of the biggest guns ever, IMO.
