"Everybody warms themselves to a different fire"
Ever hear that song?.................
yeah I have heard it, but I'm wondering if Axl is still "pro-heterosexual"
I was wondering that after

Allow me to quote myself.......
Quote from: MCT on November 13, 2003, 12:14:34 PM
The beauty of the written word is that people can draw their own conclusions.........their own interpretations........they can "read between the lines" of what someone has written and come up with an entirely different point of view than what the "author" had intended.....................
Does this mean that the reader is wrong?
Of course not..............the readers' point of view is just as valid as that of the authors'....................that's the "beauty" of it all................................
Anyway.............I frequently come across "quotes"..........and I think to myself......."this is perfect for_______________"(whoever/whatever)........
So I post the quote here in this thread (if I feel it's good enough) with my own interpretation stamped on it............and to add another level to what I'm saying I usually leave it up to the reader to find their own point of view as well......................"make of it what you will"...........again that's the beauty of the written word.........
Seldom are the quotes I post intended to be used in the manner in which they are....................
Depending on my interpretation of it........the context in which I post it.......and the readers' point of view..........a quote takes on an entirely new dimension........

The opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference.
The opposite of art is not ugliness, it's indifference.
The opposite of faith is not heresy, it's indifference.
And the opposite of life is not death, it's indifference.

You're mean! And I happen to be a dudette by the way.
Slipdisc is funny. Plain and simple. Here is another funny one:
"Hellooooo? <name removed> Your village called. They want their idiot back"
- Slipdisc.
Okay, here's a more serious quote:
"Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to great
danger."
--Herman Goering
Yes...that Goering. How easy it is to brainwash people? Goering can tell you.
