One has just to be oneself.
That's my basic message.
The moment you accept yourself
as you are
all burdens,
all mountainous burdens
simply disappear.
Then life is a sheer joy,
a festival of lights.
Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh (The Sound of One Hand Clapping)
Life has a bright side and a dark side,
for the world of relativity
is composed of light and shadows.
If you permit your thoughts to dwell on evil
you yourself will become ugly.
Look only for the good
in everything
that you absorb
the quality of beauty.
Paramahansa Yogananda (Sayings of Paramahansa Yogananda).

""Some people find trees or flowers beautiful but I find women especially beautiful. I don?t give them any credit for that. I give God credit for that." He believes? "Yes. Atheists say they don?t love God but if they love music they love the person who composed the music and therefore they love God." I would have thought that since he thinks life is so bad, he would find it hard believing in a creator of such awfulness. Sadowitz looks at me. "I didn?t say He wasn?t a c***."
No thunderbolt strikes the table in the ensuing silence. Sadowitz says his belief is intuitive and intellectual. "If I do a magic trick and fool you, you think you have been fooled because of magic powers. But there are no magic powers. There is a method to that magic but you are not allowed to see the method. I see no problem with the argument that we see and live the effect but we don?t see the method.""

The philosophy of things is always interesting. What is beauty?, what is real love?, etc...
This is a quote I like by Diotima. Supposedly she was a student of Socrates.
A quote on the philosophy of love by Diotima:
"If man's life is ever worth the living, it is when he has attained the vision of the very soul of beauty. And once you have seen it, you will never be suduced again by the charm of gold, of dress, of comely bodies: you will care nothing for the beauties that used to take your breath away and kindled such a longing in you -- so you would be content, to deny yourself bodily pleasures so long as you were with the soul of beauty. He whose eyes have been opened to the vision of the soul of beauty, and who has gazed upon it in true contemplation until it has become his forever, he shall be called the friend of god, and if ever it is given to man to put on immortality, it shall be given to him."

"I fear being like everyone I hate, I fear failure, I fear losing control. I love balancing between chaos and control with everything I do. I always have a fear of going one way or another, getting lost in something, or losing everything to get lost in. And I fear being a completely acceptable sheep in society.?
