I haven’t seen the reunion tour yet. A 1991 repeat of Noblesville two nighter! That is what I’m talking about. And long over due too! That and playing the Indy 500!

I was flooded with people asking me to go to the shows in 16 and 17, now I pretty much go solo because there is less interest. The people I know still love GNR but don’t want to spend the money to see them again. It’s not a knock on the band, the same is true for any band.
Spot on.
2016 here in Philly was the best concert experience of my life. I waited my whole life to see Axl and Slash on stage together. The vibe in the building was amazing, because we were all in that spot as long suffering GNR fans. Was an amazing show.
Saw them again in 2017 here in Philly. Much of the same vibes, and another great show.
2019, they didn't come to Philly but to Hershey. About an hour drive. Didn't go. Kind of felt I had seen it. Twice.
If they came my way in 2025 with the same basic set up, would I go? Dunno. It's no lock. I do know it would be a lock I'd struggle for people to come with.

Yes. The vibe I am getting also. Could ofcourse be sample bias (most likely is), but people I know, fans, family, friends, are all apprehensive about buying tickets to the upcoming tour, as is it just "more of the same"?
I get that. Also, the venue here in Denmark is an open, flat field by a freeway. Ways from Copenhagen, which makes travel across Denmark (Storebaelt, bridges, tolls) a hassle (and I don't even live in CPH anymore).
It'll be interesting how well this tour does. Lotta funky, alternative places and venues. If it works, cool.
We are still undecided, but as Copenhell 2025 is decidedly underwhelming this year (the artists confirmed so far) - and Roskilde just took NIN (instead of Copenhell) - there is an opening.

You're aware that there's no guarantee GN'R will be back in Denmark on any future European tour that might follow the 2025 tour?
As an example, fans in Finland got a show in 2017, none in 2018, 2022 or 2023. Plus, GN'R skipped Denmark on the 2022 tour.
Maybe next time you don't need to worry about justifying your choice of going. AC/DC skipped the whole Nordics last summer. For us up here in the North, it's still a privilege to get our favorite artists to play in our countries, or home towns.

I've also skipped the Aarhus gig, but mainly because I think Public Enemy is a bad choice as opener for a hardrock band. I've bought tickets for the Vienna show instead. Sex Pistols - even without Lydon - is a way better fit for GN'R as an opening band.

I can respect this but sometimes opposites work.
If not for the first Nashville show in 2016 when the guys got back together, I would not have really paid attention to Chris Stapleton. A buddy of mine - when he saw that he was opening - told me . . . This guy is great - don't skip the opener. I've probably seen Stapleton four times since he opened for them. I'm not a huge country music fan - I like some of the "outlaw" stuff and love Sturgill and Cody Jinks, but I might have skipped over ever giving Stapleton a chance if not for him opening for them. In fact, I'm slightly embarrassed to admit, I'd never really heard of him - other than maybe in passing - before that show. But it worked for Nashville (for obvious reasons).
But, I also saw Cage the Elephant - another band I like - open for Metallica some years back in Atlanta and I knew right away that wasn't going to be a good fit, and it wasn't. I mean I enjoyed it but I was probably the exception. Greta Van Fleet went on before Cage and they were more of a fit and you could tell by the crowd's reaction. (Oddly enough, I'm not a huge GVF fan but damn if they didn't put on a show!)

The prospect of seeing 3/4 of a legendary punk band is really what appeals to me. Imagine the boys joining in on "Black Leather" or "I Did U No Wrong"!

Oh yes, I am well aware. Axl also just turned 63. I have seen them 9 times from 1991 to 2023. Four of those with my wife, and one of those also with my 16-year old (at the time) son.
So we're good.
I find it weird you say: 'next time you don't need to justify your choice.' ? There is little draw for me (for us). It is not about justifying. Since we saw the semi-reunion in Parken, Copenhagen, in 2017, the thermometer has run almost cold. A band is a living, breathing thing, not a movie you go and rewatch. There has to be a purpose, maybe new music, new theme or just an all around freshness to it. Otherwise it's just a jukebox. I actually reviewed that 2017 show and my headline was "Retro Rigmarole" (2/5 stars). At Copenhell in 2023 it was very much more of the same again-again, but there was more of a sense of celebration - on stage as well as in the crowd. Also, they were on our son's bucketlist (and he had just won a Championship in football that very day), so it was indeed a celebration. GNR pissed off large swaths of the metal and beer-chugging festival crowd also, by playing plus three hours and Slash would endlessly solo. There is still - in the Copenhell Family Group on Facebook - a running and active meme, that Slash is STILL soloing out there (on the concrete) even when the festival is shut down. Haha.
I get the privilige thing. Absolutely. As I also wrote earlier. If they make it work (they most likely will), playing these (alternative) places, good for all those folks. And the band.
We flew out and saw AC/DC last year in Amsterdam.
It was beyond what we expected. Great and intense show!
But won't be seeing them this time around, which is by all accounts also the last one for the Thunder from Down Under.

I’ve got tickets to go this year, but I have to admit there’s an element of truth to this.

I said maybe you don't need to justify spending money on tickets and taking time away from your regular life because there might not be a show near you. Common sense. Like i said, plenty of artists keep skipping this part of the world on their tours.

That's fine.
But on the other hand, the fact that you're seeing the band live, not on a screen, is enough for others. Whatever songs they play is secondary. The whole experience of seeing your favorite band live, maybe in your hometown, maybe in your country, or maybe you traveled, is the whole point.
Personally I could've skipped plenty of shows out of convenience. But I'm glad I didn't.

Yes.
Could be due to logistics. More countries, instead of multiple shows in one country in the same time frame.
