Got my Birmingham tickets. Saw the lads the last two times in London and very glad I won’t have to make the 8 hour round trip drive this time around from Lancashire
Can’t wait. The icing on the cake now would be some more new music whilst GnR fever is back in the air!!

I'm not sure I fully appreciate the name of this tour
Too many words?

It's probably too much for my understanding indeed, but I was rather thinking about the general meaning
which I interpret as a 'fuck you' to all the fans who have been waiting for a new album for 16 years now.
of course, it's a very personal interpretation and it probably doesn't mean that at all, does it?

Maybe not. I mean, unless they used the phrase in 1985 and could see into the future to what's going on in 2024.

I'm pretty certain you can use an old phrase with a new meaning, but hey, I'm not a linguist either

The quote is from the film Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid, a 1970s movie. And the song Knocking on Heavens Door was written for the soundtrack of that particular film

I
think
(don't know for sure) that's a happy coincidence. Tried to google the phrase, and you're right the quote is from the movie. However, apparently it's in a directors cut released in 1988 - the original release didn't have the quote.

Even better. If you can get your own meaning out of it, it's a plus.
Personally I think it's timeless. It's human nature to always want something instead of appreciating what you have. Also, it's very GN'R. I'm aware some hate the fact that GN'R has always done what they wanted.

I really love the tour name, it would be hilarious if they are trolling the fans who complain about new music all the time, but I have no idea what their intention is, they seem to be having fun with it.
Since they’ve used this name in 1985, I do hope that the tour name is to mark the 40th anniversary and not some hint at a possible retirement, like a full circle thing using the name at the beginning and at the potential end. I don’t even want to put that thought in the atmosphere, but it crossed my mind.

Going with my sister (whos gnr cassettes i ''borrowed'' when i was a kid) And a childhoodfriend.
Last time we saw a GN'R show together with my sis was in 2006!
So it's been a while!

Wow! Hard to believe it's been almost 20 years. I remember jumping on a red eye flight on Mother's Day (the wife was none to happy) to fly to New York to see them at Hammerstein and then flying back hungover the next morning.

Trondheim tickets bought. Considering Aarhus, Stockholm or Tampere too. Long time since I've been in Finland, so maybe that one. Can't wait!

On the European leg? Doubt it.
There's really no space in that schedule.

The schedule looks pretty finalized. However, July 26th could be possible.
