Will the 2024 membership include any perks like early bird ticket opportunities for the presumed 2025 shows? Time is kinda running out for opportunities to buy anything this year.

Basically, will a 2024 membership be valid for that if, let's say a tour is announced in February 2025... or would one need a 2025 membership then?

Exclusive Access to Concert Ticket Presales *

* Presales tickets are sold on a first come, first serve basis. Presales may not be available for all shows and touring is never guaranteed. Limit of four (4) presale tickets per membership.


A membership is valid for a year from the date you join. Not a calendar year.

And if you renew before it expires, a year is added to the original membership expiration date.

That came out in July?  And 6 months later it ships after it already went 3 months beyond the promised date?  Should have been out the door within a week.  You can't do that, get out of the way of the people who can.  There is no excuse for that, another company could have did better.

Axl has fire drive in him.  Why he keeps holding back, I don't get.  I don't think 1990's Axl would ever sit by and take this.  Drive doesn't age.  I'm old, I know that.  I just get a little tired of kicking people out of my way who are saying it can't done.  Anger helps.

It's the Amazon era not the Wells Fargo wagon era.     And truthfully, the presale tickets through Nightrain I got were worse seats then if I would have waited for the regular sale.  Other people told me the same thing.  And what's the rush, not like the concerts sell out right away.  They should do their fans a favor and discontinue the Nightrain package.  I haven't been a member of Nightrain for years but I don't think that really offers anything.

On a positive note.  Valentine's Day merch is coming in under a week to get it out the door.

That might be true, but then there's that show where it's nice to have tickets before the public sale. Just because something isn't true for you, doesn't mean it's not true for others.

Why discontinue something others enjoy? Just because it's not for you?

You don't care about the merch, but others seem to like it. There was the fan club exclusive Hard Skool 7" and the London 1991 cd a few years ago.  Something different every year. Even when the band hasn't toured.

I don't know what goes on in the GNR business stuff or what their plan is.  I'm not even a business major.     It's just the Nightrain package looks like such a mediocre attempt at doing something, you have to wonder if GNR really even cares about it.

I think your guess is wrong.

GN'R merch is available, fan club merch isn't. The whole idea is that it's items you can't get elsewhere. For example, the London 1991 cd, or clothing items and so on.



What would make the fan club merchandise "worth waiting on"? Curious to know your expectations.

I think the fan club package being "exclusive merchandise" is only appealing to a small group of people who collect all things GNR.  A presale code to concerts is not really getting you better seating, unlikely the concert is going to sell out that fast.  You really only need that if they are doing a small club show.  But I think the presale code might be the real reason people get that package.

Personally, I don't think they should pursue a fan club that they have to support with anything other that a merchandise store.  What they need from fans is their email so they can send announcements when they have shit to sell.  Just put click the button to sign up for that on the website, no effort, no cost. 

Okay, I'm probably not waiting on lengthy shipping items, killed it right there for me.  This is an impulse buy to begin with and you're killing it making me wait.     You have to have something really unique to make me wait.  GNR race car, yeah.  GNR semi, love it but way overpriced.   

What would appeal to me to buy a GNR fan club membership?  I like information.  Not on gear, doesn't have to be on the latest album progress.  I like stories on things that happen in the GNR world.  Roadies and how they got their job, what they do.  Isn't there two people who are stationed up above the stage?  What's it like hanging out there?  Love the pictures the crew put up of places they visit.  A daily diary on what happens when GNR is out on the road would be cool to read.

Well, the funny thing is that if you offer the fan club merch that everyone else can get, it's kinda not special at all. So it's either no merch (even though you pay for the membership), same merch everyone else can get or something exclusive.

It's not about collecting. It's about offering something different. Not everyone who might join the fan club wants to collect everything. But hopefully they like the merch, or at least some of it.

Again, what is true for you might not be true for others. The presale could be handy for someone wanting a Golden Circle ticket (for Americans, this is the GA stading section closest to the stage, Europe usually doesn't have floor seats) for a show that might sell out. I know fans in Finland were happy to be able to get their tickets before the general public.
