I found out about the compilation of live covers by GNR yesterday. I find it very interesting and surprising, since I haven't heard about this before... It is really nice to hear the whole selected bunch of covers before '95 era. It takes me back to my childhood peace beer

Maybe you didn't hear about it before since it's an unofficial release.

These kinds of compilations used to be around in the days of bootlegs....

I think I bought a CD with the songs burned onto it for $5 on Ebay back in 2005ish. It was kind of cool hearing them. There were a bunch with homemade fan art. A lot of them I had heard before from youtube but to have it all in one place on disc (pre streaming) was nice. Sadly this was before their awesome cover of the Seeker, but that was obviously later released on the live album.
