What do you think?
I think I did not respect him enough when he was in GNR in the band.
But I think he had a great presence on stage, and I also respect he played and recorded in Chinese DEMOCRACY.

my favorite guitarist in the band after Slash.

gave an amazing amount of energy to the band, very flamboyant and inspired musician.

that SCOM solo for example, where it takes Slash one to make it his own to another nuclear level, brilliant.

seems to be a very nice guy too, he had a website (the nest?) at the time where you could collaborate on a creative level, I posted artworks there and always has nice comments.

Why did he leave GNR?

first time, in 1999, he got bored to work on songs without names and without lyrics.
I can say for sure because he said it in many interviews.

last time, he didn't say. so no one knows.

Yes. Many of his solos on CD were the most memorable. Slash is my favorite lead player out of any guitar player, but, The Better outro solo, for example, doesn't sound right to me unless it is played like how Robin did it.
