Shortest set if we compare GNR with GNR. we are talking about GNR here. Since this tour started, im saying they should do shortest set, 2 hour max, to
 preserve  Axl s voice

Anyone catch what Axl said before WTTJ? I just saw a shitty Twitter stream, no way to make out what he said.

I only heard some reference to Slash's guitar issue.

IMO, that was Axl's cleanest WTTJ of the tour.

Daily death counts are at 300-400 for the entire United States.

Missing the point there; we already have a new, more virulent mutation. The more it spreads, the worse it gets.

Quote
94% of deaths are people with 3+ "Comorbidities"....

Obesity, diabetes, hypertension, bad lungs from smoking, poor health + life choices.

And is that supposed to be exculpatory? That does not mean they would have died anyway. That does not make their lives less valuable.

I was pretty disappointed that at Metlife, there were no covid precautions at all besides a sign saying "don't come in if you've tested positive".

He talked about Rumble and it being the first power chord.

94% of deaths are people with 3+ "Comorbidities"....

I would LOVE to know your source for that data.

I'm assuming it's this study (because it's the one that's been touted in conservative news sources...but maybe not):

https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-021-82862-5

which, as part of it's peer review, has been noted to not have nearly enough subjects to form any sort of conclusion about overall percentages in terms of comorbidity presence (it's based on 26 patients).  It has also been noted as part of peer review that, since the median age of the patients in the study was 70 years old, the presence of 3+ comorbids is considered an average presentation within that age group.  Without providing a comparable exception population, you can not assume comorbids were a contributing factor.  There is no valid conclusion, statistically speaking, you can draw from the data in this study.  The p values don't support it.

But even so, the study itself says it best:

Quote
Our findings reveal that causes of death were directly related to COVID-19 in the majority of decedents, while they appear not to be an immediate result of preexisting health conditions and comorbidities. We therefore suggest that the majority of patients had died of COVID-19 with only contributory implications of preexisting health conditions to the mechanism of death.

I don't think we'll see any shut out/closure type things until they see if they can keep the kids in school.  I think that's the priority, get the kids in school so the parents can go back to work.  If they can't keep the kids in school then I think there will be more restrictions to try to get the outbreaks under control.

As long as the vast majority of the infections, hospitalizations, and mortalities are amongst the unvaccinated, I suspect you will not see much in the way of complete lockdowns.

I think you will see mask mandates return (where they are not illegal).

I think you may see things  like "proof of vaccination or a negative covid test within the past 3 days" spring up at businesses and venues where they can (aka states where such mandates aren't illegal).

I think you will see more and more employers require vaccination.

But I would be surprised to see full on lockdowns unless things get much, much, much worse (and start to involve the vaccinated/another variant).

Return to full blown lockdowns will be a tough sell.

This time, not just people, but perhaps even store owners say "yeah, fuck that" and flout it.  They'd probably face threats of fines and license suspensions.  But can you arrest everybody?

Haha no. Not unless you're on an airplane and they have to pull that sucker over.
