Marmite Militia, taking over one piece of toast at a time!!!

I don't like this. This is starting to sound like Civil War amongst us fans.

"I don't need your civil war
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor
Your power hungry sellin' soldiers
In a human grocery store
Ain't that fresh"

Not hardly a war. As i said, its not worth fighting with people who are just never going to be happy/satisfied.
...who are always looking for "the buts".

Its more a difference in perspective and point of view, honestly. And notice, at no point have i said they dont have the right to their point of view. On the contrary, i've said "you do you, boo boo."  So no....no war.  And contrary to DXs opinion, I have no beef with him. I dont dislike him. I just dont take his posts...especially the negative leaning ones....all that seriously. Its just dx being dx.

Also, that difference in perspective/pov has been present in the fandom for, literally, decades. And we are all still here.  beer  So i wouldnt worry too much.

Its just never been more easy to see that difference,  given how good things are.

It is what it is.

But...sometimes there needs to be context. That was my entire reason for responding to sky dog...context.  Because sky dog legit seemed befuddled at how someone could express the opinion being expressed. So i simply wanted to point out it was, again, dx being dx. Nothing to see here. And it decended into madness....

Can we just get back to the topic, now?

So what's next?

The band is on a break. Slash will be busy.

Who knows after that once they've recharged their batteries.

The tour visited 42 countries in 400+ days.

159 shows, including the Troubadour.

Maybe not - stuff COULD happen in that time that we don't know about or hear anything about.....

All I have to say is remember the dark days of 2001-2006 when literally everything was heresay and nothing was going on not even touring. After a 3 year tour and all the shows we got to see live or thru live streams and if I may use the phrase from the New Day the "Power of Positivity" even if we don't hear anything in regards to GNR for the next few months I think we should all be thrilled what has happened with the band as a whole.

There is no need to worry if we don't here anything for many months. In a way there's no need to either as it's been a long tour being a fan as well peace

However, if the months turn to years it's not good.  I hope to hear something like after the summer. Summer of 2019 I might add.

No doubt Geffen are banging down Axl's door trying to get him to sign off on a live album and DVD from the tour I'm sure they have a lot of Pro shot footage they can use .I'd like to see a Tour type documentary where they show songs from various gigs  around the world obviously the Troubador gig has to be in there but if it's from just the one show ill be happy with that. beer

Are they still signed with Geffen?

The Troubadour show won't be getting released- that was said a while back if I recall; that the plan is to keep it as a special moment for those that were there only.

I'm sure they have a lot of Pro shot footage they can use .

Define Pro shot.

Some of the festivals were filmed by TV crews.

Other than that, I don't know if anything was properly filmed. Some stuff was filmed for example in Detroit in 2016 that was used for social media.

They filmed Dodger Stadium in 2016 as far as I can remember so that would be the obvious choice ,Coachella and Rock in Rio could also be used as both were filmed professionally.

I think if something comes out as a single concert, you need to look at what Slash is wearing, the bloke (rarely if ever wears the teeshirt from one day to the next, so any shows where the same shirt is worn at the same venue it is there where you will get continuity shots. Duff do likewise, however, has some more generic clothes that appear less of a change.

Axl is always changing during shows so not such an issue there, its expected,

Could be wrong though
