I don't work desktop (for many years) or network (ditto), but..yeah, generally when I did, I was.

I do more app admin, app design/programming, database admin/data mining/research stuff. Think more CIO track Coordinator (and soon manger) IT stuff.  I can pretty easily hide in my office, behind my screens and a coffee cup, unless someone needs data, urgently, or my apps/server goes kaput (rare).

It shouldn't be a problem.  It shouldn't be a mentionable problem for sure

Normal human beings need 8 hours of sleep to operate at 100%. Lack of sleep would explain a lot with you...

I don't think I'm going to make it either. . I'm starting to drift off. I wake up at 4:30am. Considering I have a new manager, I don't want to be tired and falling asleep at work. It sucks being an adult. lol

Years ago, I did light desktop stuff, just because I was "closer" to my users (physically) and it was easier than putting in a help desk ticket.  Then they locked down PCs to the point I can't even install printer drivers on our business imaged PCs.

So, yeah, they gotta call the techs.  Unless it's my app/server.  Then they can yell at me from across the floor, in unison.

Well that's probably not a bad thing being that locked down. Harder to get something like ransomware.
