Just think how much money they left on the table all those years.  Has to break their hearts.

Is the $84 mil gross before expenses and taxes or net after all deductions? If gross, it seems low to me.

Pre-taxes and management fees it says.

Remember, this is what the band has been paid. Not the gross revenue of the tour.

I'm thinking GN'R earns a flat-rate for each concert, independent of ticket sales. It's pretty common among the biggest acts.

And what about merch sales during concerts

Residuals from back catalogues etc...

I could see if they got a flat performance fee per show   Up until a certain number of tickets are sold etc.. then a percentage after that etc

Merch sales is also a source of income for them I suppose.

The shows bring in anywhere from 2.5 to 8-9 million dollars in ticket sales. With $84 million to the band, that's roughly $1 million per show, pretty good if you ask me.

I'm no expert, but I figure the promoter have quite a lot of expenses:

- Salary for the show crew (instrument techs, sound mixing, video etc. 20-30 people maybe?)
- 125 stage hands that travel from show to show.
- 125 local stage workers at each location.
- Rental of 68 trucks in total (20 production trucks plus 48 steel trucks)
- Rental of three separate stage setups
- Rental of production equipment (lights, video screens, sound equipment, camera crew and equipment)
- Workers at location on show day (merchandise, security)
- Rental of aircraft for the band (up until now they've used a B757, B767 and a B737). This is not cheap!

After all that, I figure the promoter wants to make some money as well.

So ticket sales have been as high as 11 million for the MetLife shows.

So you are saying the band is getting 1 million per show?

I think not

I would say 3 million min.  Plus merch.  Plus a percentage of anything above and behind

You post a lot of numbers on here like they mean something

This band gives out zero info!   They don't say anything about anything

How in the world are people getting these numbers?

Angain

Are mech sales

Record sales apart of what a band made for the year?

I would hope so

These numbers are very off

What numbers?

The ticket sales? That's from Billboard.

The number of production crew, trucks, stages etc.? That's info from TAIT themselves, it's accurate.

So ticket sales have been as high as 11 million for the MetLife shows.

So you are saying the band is getting 1 million per show?

I think not

$11 million was for two shows, plus those shows are ranking in the top as far as gross revenue.

There were shows grossing $2.5 million. Are you saying the band was paid $3 million + a heck of a lot expenses on top of that? The promoters are not morons, they're in it for the money as well.

After counting the amount of shows in the 365 day window, $1.5 million per show looks more accurate.

Record sales apart of what a band made for the year?

lol - record sales

I don't think any of these numbers are accurate

I personally think the promoter is willing to take a hit on some shows and then clean up on others

I also think Axl makes 50% of the bands profits and pays for the band

Duff and Slash have a big percentage but not as much but have no costs

Also touring costs are very low once you are done your first leg    Everything is paid for already    Now you just pay labor for the crew and renting venues

So you are saying at MetLife guns made 1.5 million and the promoter made 10 million?  Minus venue costs?

I highly doubt it

I'm not following the logic.

I have no first hand knowledge, just going by the numbers presented. Forbes got $84 million reported to them for the 365 day period, now it's not my field but aren't they quite credible?

As for MetLife, if the $1.5 million-per-show estimate is correct. They would've been paid $3 million since it was two shows.

This band gives us nothing   Not one thing.  They are not going to make certain numbers public

You have one member still going through a high level divorce.  He would want nothing more than to keep all numbers private

How much do you think Axl was making pre Slash and duff coming back per show?

I would think anywhere between $250-$500 thousand profit per show

Now how much are you saying he is making? $500-$750 thousand per show?

I doubt it

I say double that.

Some shows didn't even gross that in total.

In a traditionally good market for GN'R in 2012, two shows at the O2 in London totaled at $1.3 million. That's an average of $650.000 per show. The Vegas residency averaged $270.000 per show.

I doubt Axl raked in up to half a million per show.

Now how much are you saying he is making? $500-$750 thousand per show?

I'm saying?

I'm merely looking at the numbers presented to us.

You might be right, I don't know. But where are you getting your numbers from btw?

Again you are looking at numbers supplied by probably a 4th party.   Who ever said any of them are accurate

I am just going off of what I think

You are going. Off what other people are telling you to think
