Chinese Democracy out 2014!

Sure, something like 3x more people in Finland. However, that fact isn't quite so simple. I have been told that the ferry traffic between Helsinki and Tallinn is the busiest in the world, yes the whole world, between two capital cities.

Therefore, it's pretty much the same market and the question is where would you like to have your gig for maximum profit, if that's your goal.

Yes, lots of Finns visit Tallinn. But going on a ferry trip to buy cheaper alcohol doesn't equate buying a concert ticket for a show in Tallinn....

Just one more point to this. One of the biggest Finnish bands (singing in Finnish too) of the last ten years, "Haloo Helsinki!", announced that their comeback show will be in Tallinn at Saku Suurhall. The capacity is around 10 000 and they sold out the show so quickly that they added an additional date at the same venue.

All General admission and non premium seats tickets are sold out for the Madrid show already. They were already sold out the day they went on sale. I have a friend who bought tickets before they went on sale for the general public (American Express card holder) and she had problems finding 4 seats during the presale.

In Bilbao (the other show in Spain), 2 days ago there were "only" 3000 tickets and some VIP left.

I'm actually quite surprised. These shows are selling better than the ones that took place in Madrid and Barcelona 23 years ago when Guns were at their peak. I remember attending the show in Madrid on July 1993, and there were some empty sections (show was not full at all).

Ive been to a handful of shows in the past two decades and none were really sold out. The biggest place they played on held 10,000 people, so I thought even with Duff and Slash back in the fold, the shows were not  going to sell out. Well, it turns out they did!

Awesome news!

That would be weird if it's true. Hasn't GN'R been pretty big in Portugal all this time?

It has but the wages over there are quite low. How much is the cheapest ticket? With their wages it should be like 30 euros and surely it is at least double that.

It is quite expensive- golden circle 129, GA 69. That's expensive for their economy- but then I think all the tickets are expensive for the local economies.

As some mentioned above, maybe it's the prices. I mean, they are pretty damn high for most of us. Doesn't really matter how much you want to go see a band if you simply can't afford it. Shame...

I don't know how new a system this is and how it works but I only found out about it recently. Ticketmaster has an official 'Resale' and it gives me this message just now in Ireland:

General Admission from ?157
Golden Circle from ?239

Cheap? No. Reliable? It simply must be despite going to some sister company's website.

Got to be the prices yeah. I've really really scrimped on stuff to afford tickets- because I've been able to plan the money since the American dates, and because it's my favourite band. If I was a bit more casual I'm pretty sure I'd look at the ticket prices and walk on.....

Polish ticketmaster saying all standing in Gdansk is sold out now- still some seats left on upper level though.

Interesting, so I just checked an hour too early. The system doesn't tell how many standing tickets are left so there were a few and not anymore. It is a big country after all and surely some tickets are sold all the time.

This will be great after all beer

Yeah- it looks to be selling pretty well really. All the best seats gone, all the standing- and I heard that the Polish crowds go mad for GNR!
