Beta said (in Portuguese) that the European tour is gonna happen. Actually, she talked about it when someone asked if they would keep touring, and she said "didn't we anounce it already? Europe and stuff?"

Amazing news. A bit off topic and a question to the Dutch fans around. Is marijuana legal during concerts? I mean during the concert itself, not before or after.

You can smoke in a coffee shop or at home but not out in the street or in a public place. You'd probably get away with it anyway though.

Nope....but you're not allowed to smoke anything inside any venue at all. Unless you go to one of those designated smoking booths
Word on the street is they're coming to Europe in July. My friend works at a big promoter and it's going to be BIG venues....

I'd say that's just rumors at this point.

Longer we wait the less sure I am this is happening in 2017. Their schedule is starting to look pretty busy next year, with Canada and USA looking like they're definitely happening. The cynic in me is suggesting that plans for next year have changed in recent weeks.

Agree, no need to worry.
GN'R will definitely play Europe. There is no way they're skipping arguably their biggest market.

You don't think that's convenience, the residency? Anyways, we're talking about roughly 25,000 tickets over a three-week run...
As far as I know, their numbers were consistently better in Europe than in the US in the 2006-2014 run. Not magnificently better, but the arena dates in the US didn't do quite as well as the ones in Europe.
EDIT TO ADD: For the last decade or so, this is not something exclusive to GN'R, I have the feeling that rock acts in general have done more business in Europe than in the US. Hopefully, with GN'R this year, the times are changing. Eddie Trunk made a good point that no matter if you are a fan of GN'R or not, them filling stadiums all over the United States is a good thing for rock music.

So are you talking past matter or current market?
Current market says the demand in the horrible USA is very high. It wasn't past
The market in Canada in the past tours you mentioned was way better than anything in Europe
Then you have South America. That has been a faithful supporter of this band forever
Don't forget Asia. For any concerts they get are always huge
Now we have the Middle East.
Huge pre bought concerts that they have been doing for a bit. Huge profit.
Eroupe isn't even close to the top of the list
I would put Canada a past second. Next to southern America
I would put the USA first right now. There past was like 6th. They were horrible fans

For Europe I can only rely on past numbers as they haven't played or even announced shows here yet.
But, the increase of demand has been enormous in both the US and the whole of South America. Nothing indicates it won't be the same case for Europe. If it is the same case, I would argue Europe as a whole is their biggest market. If the increase isn't the same, then no it isn't their current biggest market.
Let's wait and see what happens when they announce European dates. I predict an amount of shows in the vicinity of the summer US tour.

Relax. Nothing has been announced past March 3rd.
That leaves almost ten months of 2017 for shows in places that aren't Asia, the Middle East or Oceania..... That's a lot of room for shows!

GNR has been packed Stadiums in South America in 2010/2011/2014 and now 2016...SA fans were ALWAYS loyal to all incarnations of Guns n Roses.
Unfortunately they did not come to South America during 2002/2006/2007 tours but they would pack stadiums back them as well.
In my opinion their biggest market is by far south america (in terms of ticket sales).

Yep, history has shown that.
However they made mega money in the states this year, probably more than all those SA shows combined.
