Canada has always supported GNR really well over the years and different lineup changes. It was really surprising that Toronto was the only Canadian stop considering there are nice big stadiums all over the country...During the Toronto show Axl said this was the only Canadian show on this leg of the tour...has there been any talks or rumours of a full Canadian tour maybe next summer? Jarmo...you would probably know best.

Don't see that happening any time soon. Not enough big markets. It worked when they did the arena tour here but stadiums you've got Toronto, Montreal, maybe Vancouver. After that I'm not sure you come close to filling them.

If they go back to arenas sure.

They will go back to arenas. But they could have easily had huge CFL stadium shows in Vancouver and Edmonton. Oh well! They will come back and Milk Canada for sure.

For the most part they were selling out arenas with the past lineups all across Canada...they would have no problem selling out stadiums...if they do one show per province they would be easy sell outs. BC Place in Vancouver, Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, the brand new (opening this fall) Mosaic Stadium in Regina, Investors Field in Winnipeg, the Big O in Montreal and could probably do Rogers Centre in Toronto again because this wouldn't be until next summer. People may not think Regina could sell out but it would be a province wide draw and would sell out easily...acdc sold out, the stones sold out 2 nights, Bon Jovi sold out...and I think I'm missing another rock show that also sold out...So like I said...every show I listed would be an easy sell out.

The future, if there is one, is arenas.

It's only the first time in 23 years angle that allowed for stadiums over here.  One time thing.

I think you could see another of these in the US at baseball Stadiums... take advantage of the people who will go just to see a show at Fenway, Wrigley, etc...

I think they can play stadiums in the major markets here in the states anytime they want for the rest of their careers.  Maybe do what a lot of artists do is mix stadiums in big markets to arenas in smaller ones.  They are way too big to play arenas in NY, LA, Chicago, Philly etc.

I'm wondering if they will do an arena leg here next fall/winter, hitting the markets that didn't have a stadium for them to use.

And you could still do one night in town you already hit, if you wanted to.

I am pretty shocked at the amount of tickets being sold right now.

And given these rave reviews and this sudden dependability, moving tickets in the future should be a breeze.

Meaning "fall/winter 2017"?  I think that's about right.  I think we get an EU tour in the late Winter/early spring, first.

They MIGHT be back next summer, though...that's the actual AFD 30 anniversary (July 21st).

I'm hoping for another stadium tour next Summer in the US. At least in Philadelphia, many who missed this concert, won't miss the next. No need to move to arenas if the timing puts them back here when it's warm.

I would totally attend an AFD 30 tour, stadium, arena, whatever, where they basically played AFD from start to finish. Wink

I imagine they're going to play stadiums as long as they can.    They can probably keep that going for a few years.   Once they start repeating cities they might have to scale down to arenas.

I'm not sure Vancouver would sell out a GNR stadium.   Look at how poorly Seattle is selling (I think it's sitting at maybe 50 or 60% sold out right now).   Seattle has more than twice the people that Vancouver (not to mention a number of us British Columbian's are trekking to the Seattle show).

It seems the stadium sell outs are in larger us markets.   I'm not sure Vancouver is big enough.   At least not at 280/ticket (how much did they charge in T.O?   As I bought seattle tickets the FX made the price insanely high).

Paul mccartney sold out Regina. Garth brooks sold out Saskatoon six shows in a row. Sask has a huge market a show in Regina would sell out

Magnetic Hill in Moncton is a huge concert, they have it every year,  acdc, ozzy, rolling Stones all played there the past few years.  Attendance is always over 50 thousand.  Same goes for the outdoor shows they have every year in halifax on citadel hill, once again 50 thousand plus.  These shows are in September and far as I know there was no mention of who's playing them, I might be wrong tho.
