Best spot for what?

Closest to the stage: The rail.
Better view of the show: At the back

I personally like the back of pit closer to center stage...plus you have a rail/fence to lean back against.  It's all in what you prefer though

I like hanging mid pit, where you aren't crushed up front and have some space.  And when you hear Seeker start making your way to a choice location for the mic toss.

Not as much the general answer, but more to this tour. To those who have had the chance so far, wanted to pick your brains and get my plan established! Thanks ok

This sounds like a plan but I think the show will start at the rail peace the mic would be cool, been close a few times..

I've never considered this but I might, do you simply leave the PIT area and head back into the normal floor seating?

He seems to be underhand tossing it into the PIT versus tossing it overhand and potentially reaching the seats.

Could be because of the person claiming they were hurt by one or could be that he is 'throwing a bone' to the people who could have paid up to $1750 for their tickets.

Both shows I've been to, he underhand tosses the mic and it lands probably between rows 5 and 10 in floor seating...way past pit.  First show in Cincy, it was tossed straight and this last show in Nashville, he tossed it to his right.  In Cincy, he did however toss his whistle to his left into the back of pit, over my damn head though lol.  It's just luck of the draw!  No matter if you get any souvenirs or not, you will get the best show ever!!

I was watching a periscope of the concert tonight (Pittsburgh) and man are the pits ever small and shallow.  I would have thought they would be twice as deep.  That mic is going into the seats for sure.

I was slash side, but close to center very front row on the pit in Philly the other night.  One thing that was really really surprising was how everybody stayed so calm and there was absolutely no shoving or pushing at any point in the show. Thing were much different than when I was in the same spot back in '06. Maybe because the pits are just smaller now. I also go to lots of concerts and try and grab front row of I can, but GNR always amaze me how they put monitors with the "mixed" audio facing the pit so that while being front row we can actually hear all the music clearly.  Most bands the worst place to hear them is front row, not GNR in my opinion.
