Why is Seeker in the set list?  Roll Eyes

The majority arent fussed on it... and lets face it.. there is a dozen other songs people would prefer to hear them play.

Every night..there it is.. as a staple of the encore.. makes no sense.

'Cos the majority ain't playing it, the band are, and besides I'd imagine the majority are just happy to see the band playing anything...
Maybe... If that's their thing, but there is s strong argument for Other songs to be played in the set list and if something is to be pulled out than that's one song that could go and it wouldn't worry a lot of people.

Axl just just love the seeker.
Lol
No other explanation for that as an encore.
Even if he covers it, I thought encores are the famous songs.
Axl sings it very well.

The Seeker could have been covered in the 90's as well.
It fits with GN'R in every possible way and it's a great driving sing-a-long !!! Smiley

I miss Dizzy's piano solo. I like his version of Ziggy Stardust.

I thought the Seeker was the oddest of all songs on the setlist.,.Perhaps they will play Chip away the Stone!

In addition to the current set, these are the additional songs I want to hear in Chicago tomorrow:
Although I love The Seeker and Axl's singing of it, I would scrap it for the Stones Wild Horses

New songs for Chicago's 3 hour set:

Perfect Crime
Don't Damn Me
Used to Love Her (acoustic)
Wild Horses (replace Seeker)
Sailing (Rod Stewart cover)
Think About You

Here's how I think the alt songs from that setlist pic will fit in. (plus the tunes that were played at the April shows)
Chicago is the first 2 night stand so we'll know how much it changes on doubles very soon
My guess is any thing with big pyro (marked with a star) stays in every night
encore cover swapped for encore cover or dropped for Yesterdays
Deep Appetite cut for deep Appetite cut, Illusion for Illusion, Duff Spaghetti for Duff Spaghetti, Chinese for Chinese
I'm not sure where Used To Love Her would fit
I may be wrong about Double Talkin' because Axl goes off stage at the end of that song, Perfect Crime is short and he sings till the end.
I know they swapped out Coma for TWAT in Mexico City but that seems cruel due to Coma's popularity with fans.

It's So Easy
Brownstone
Chinese Democracy
Jungle
Double Talkin -- alt. Perfect Crime
Estranged
Live and let Die
You Could Be Mine
Memory>Raw Power alt Attitude/New Rose
This I Love ---alt. Sorry
Civil War
Coma
Godfather/Sweet Child
Better
Out Ta Get Me/My Michelle --alt. Think About You
November Rain (w/ or w/o Layla)
Rocket Queen
Wish You Were Here
Heaven's Door
Nightrain
---
Patience/Don't Cry ---alt/add Yesterdays/Used To Love Her
Seeker ---alt Rosie/Nice Boys/Slither
PC

I think the Chicago shows will be a good test for mixing up the set. I don't foresee them playing the same set in the same city two nights in a row. I'm sure you'll see the mix starting over the next couple of shows.

Back in the day this wasn't even a discussion with concerts..We weren't able to follow each show, and compare setlists.  We were just happy with the show....

for night 2 in Chicago, this is super wishful thinking, but would be awesome:

YCBM
Nice Boys
Chinese
LALD
Used To Love Her
Estranged
DTJ
Cant Put Your Arms around/Attitude
Don't Cry
Coma
Better
Civil War
WYWH/Layla/NR
KOHD

Then for the encore, come back on and play Appetite start to finish. every song including Anything Goes

That would be fucking awesome

But really though, I hope My Michelle and Used To Love her atleast get mixed in. And please ditch the Seeker.

Why are people talking about songs that weren't even on the alternate song set list ?

Lots of hate for the Seeker around these parts.

I like the Seeker.  I think it brings some energy and cleans the pallet before the big finally.

I would alternate KOHD and LALD, between shows and open up some more time for other songs.

KOHD and LALD are such big casual fan favorites so I think they will both stay in the set.

I don't really mind The Seeker either, but given a choice I would've picked a GN'R song instead, like You're Crazy.

I agree that The Seeker could easily be traded to something from the Illusions, Chinese or even Think About You. But if they want a cover and something Axl would be comfortable to sing, I think Ain't It Fun would be just perfect. I'd really would shit my pants.

I said in another thread that Bad Obsession would be the perfect swap for The Seeker...I think its the most comfortable GNR song for Axl to sing that is off the set.

I think that Coma/TWAT/Sorry will be alternatives for the tour, Coma being played most of the times of course. They all share the same darkish vibe also! Sometimes I think Axl struggles singing Coma...some nights he might want to drop it off.
